WASHER REPAIR / WALMART / HUBBY TO SHOP / PICTURES OF FENCE

MONDAY

11-30-2020 

 

 

Awake at 5AM when Hubby went to potty. He put Wilson on the bed with me. We slept until 6:15AM. I got up and made the bed.

Then went to the kitchen. Hubby had already made eggs for Wilson, but the dog did not want any breakfast. I made lattes & Nanogreens.

Hubby did the cat litter and vacuumed. 

I made Xmas Domino ornaments and wrapped empty Amazon boxes for decor above the kitchen cabinets.

Hubby was in the garage doing work. He called Lindi Corp to find out when they were coming and the woman that answered said it was scheduled for 2-4PM. 

Took the Dually and drove to store. Took Wilson with us SO HE DOESN'T BARK BY HIMSELF AT HOME.

We went to Dollar Store. Got wrapping paper and scotch tape. For boxes above the kitchen cabinets, like KR had suggested to make it look more decorative Holiday look.

Went over to Walmart.

 

Picked up groceries. LOTS of people in the store. They had LOTS of Clorox and Lysol on the shelves.

We came home, unloaded groceries. 

We gave chicken nuggets to Wilson. Let him out for potty. He sat outside QUIETLY, and looked at things. 

I wrapped more boxes for the kitchen cabinets. Then I started working on Xmas Dominoes ornaments.

I had to sit on the heating pad and took aspirin because I was in pain. 

Watched HOUSE on TV.  

 

Hubby called a local lawyer in town to make an appointment to talk about Property damage. He has an appointment for 2PM tomorrow.

Appliance guy still not here by 2:17PM. Hubby is getting nervous.

We walked out back to take more pictures of the devastation on the fence. It is bowing and more brick is breaking off. The fence is swaying, and there is broken/cracked sidewalk out from our house. The sidewalk is also heaving directly out from our house.

 

 

 

We stopped to talk with a nice couple who had a little Schnauzer. 

 

Appliance guy got here at 3:00PM. He was here for a few minutes. Hubby and I were out back, taking pictures. I stayed to take more pictures while walking Wilson.

Hubby left at 4PM to go down to the shop and meet a guy that is getting an engine put in his truck. He will have Lupe do the engine. 

I asked Hubby to pick up stuff at Ace Hardware.

I watched HOUSE on TV and worked on the Domino Ornaments. 

 

Hubby got home at 6:30PM. I was doing laundry. 

 

Hubby had dinner. He put away laundry.

 

I went thru the documents for the Pulte Warranty and made copies for the Attorney tomorrow. 

I did more laundry and put it away.

We went to bed at 10:30PM.

 

 

UTV RIDE TO 3 STATE CORNERS AND BEAVER DAM

SUNDAY

11-29-2020

 

 

Woke at 6AM. Hubby got out of bed. I stayed in bed and went back to sleep. Hubby woke me up by touching my face and freaking me out. 

 

I made the bed, Hubby helped. I got dressed and went to the kitchen to make lattes. 

I dressed in extra warm clothes as we were going to be going out on UTV ride today in 48 degree weather at 9AM. Wore my UnderArmor shirt, double sweat shirts. 

Let Wilson outside for potty. I filled bird bath with warm water. 

Had the Roomba do our bedroom. 

We left at 8:45AM, Hubby had forgotten to get fuel, so we had to go down to Terribles and get fuel. Passed Kirk as he was exiting Walmart in his UTV. Hubby told him to come with us on ride. I texted Carmen that we would be a few minutes late, but they were already there getting fuel, too!

We drove up to the Pioneer Center to meet everyone at 9AM. Smoking lady there. Ugh. Wilson and I took a walk near to the sales center so he could go potty. 

Then we loaded up and drove away. Hubby was in the lead. But he goes SO fast that he ended up losing a couple that were behind us. We made our way out the dump road and then stopped at the cattle tanks north of the dump. 

Walked around. Guys had to go potty. Let the dogs out for play. A couple UTVs came by and we had to gather up the dogs so they did not get run over. We failed to bring food as we did not think we were going to be gone so long.

Drove on to the 3 Corners Utah/Arizona/Nevada marker. Hubby forgot the way, was going too fast, lost some people. We got there and had to wait 5 minutes before everybody caught up!

Walked around and talked. Gave water to the dogs. Kathy had brought a water bowl for Molly.

Then we got ready to go after 30 minutes. More UTVs came past and we had to pick the dogs up. Went thru the gate and one of the other guys said he would close it for us.

We brought up the rear this time as we were supposed to go on the Mesa, but Irl forgot how to get up there. We ended up on the wash going to Littlefield. Lots of dust, we made better time by going around another way, had to wait for everybody. Then Hubby was trying to avoid the dust and broken up track by going to the far left. Everybody came out a different way than us. We got to the Beaver Dam Store and parked. 

Hubby went to get orange juice for me and beef jerky stick for Wilson. I had Wilson on a leash as there were lots of people at the Beaver Dam Bar. Lady selling jewelry, some guy in a Lance Camper selling chainsaw art - mostly bears. And some other person selling little wood decor at the other end of the parking lot. 

We talked a lot there. Guys had to use bathrooms again. It was already 2PM and I was hungry. Gave the beef jerky to Wilson. He drank some more water out of Kathy's water bowl. I finally urged Hubby to go home. I was exhausted and SO DUSTY DIRTY. 

We took off up the hill, but nobody followed us. Hubby had me call Carmen to find out where they went. They took the long way along the interstate, where we made the short cut and had to wait 10 minutes for them to catch up. 

Drove back to Mesquite, Hubby had to keep stopping for everybody to catch up. 

Finally home at 3:15PM. What should have been an 1 hour and 45 minute ride turned into SIX HOURS! OMG. 

At home, Wilson went potty outside and drank water. I stripped and took a shower. Put all our dirty clothes in the garage as we still do not have a working washing machine.

Then I got out of shower. Got dressed in shorts. Hubby came to take a shower. I wrangled Wilson into the bathroom and Hubby washed him down. LOTS of dirt came off poor Wilson. Need to take his Doggles next time and use a hammock. Have to find one on Etsy. 

I took Wilson out of the shower and wiped him down with a towel. Then I took him outside to blow dry. He was VERY dry by the time I was done. I brushed him a LOT. 

I turned on Google Xmas music. Some other neighbor dogs were barking outside and I told Hubby, "THOSE ARE NOT OUR DOGS BARKING!" so that the crappy neighbors would hear. 

I was very moody and everything was hurting on my body. Too much driving in the UTV. A very long day for Wilson's first day out in the UTV.

I made chicken salad, a buttered roll, and some more latte for me. Made Hot Cocoa and Schnapps for Hubby. 

Hubby went outside to put up the Xmas lights in front. Then he re-painted the handsaw Xmas tree that he is making for me. He had painted it red, but it was awful looking. He re-painted it black.

Cat climbed up the screen door, watching Hubby put up the Xmas lights. Rattler was miaowing at him the entire time.

He came inside and I was sitting on the sofa watching House. I needed to eat and relax. Took several aspirin. 

We watched TV for a while. I felt better by about 6PM.

SATURDAY

11-28-2020 

Awake at 6AM. Helped Wilson up on the bed. I fell back to sleep. Hubby got up.

Up at 8AM to make the bed, get dressed. Made lattes & Nanogreens. Hubby was in the kitchen making eggs for breakfast. Wilson was outside.

I gave fresh warm water to the bird bath. Then I updated Blogger for today. Got Hubby's ticket ready to mail for th FasTrak California Toll Evasion. $1 for a fucking fine! OMG. How STUPID are Californians???

UPS delivered the LG control panel. 

Hubby installed the LG control panel, but it still gave the same error codes! He was very frustrated. 

Hubby got the Armoire shelf done and installed it. It needs to be stained later.

Hubby helped me put away all the Fall decor. 

 

We put up Xmas lights in the back yard and inflatables- Dog, Santa, 2 Snowmen, Penguin. Hubby pulled down all the Xmas boxes so that I could go thru them. 

I put up decorations all over the house. Can't find the body for the snowman. Only can find the feet. Odd.

We watched HOUSE on TV. 

About 7PM, we got a delivery to the front door via Fed Ex, the barbed wire decor that I had ordered on Etsy. It looks great. Very carefully took it out of the box and hung it on the patio.

I took a hot bath at 8PM before going to bed.

Hubby watched his Automotive shows before coming to bed at 10:30PM.

At 11:30PM, I was up again to take another hot bath as I had cramps. The neighbors still had all their lights on. 

Robert came into the bathroom with me and stayed until I was done. He followed me back to bed and hopped into bed with me. Wilson had jumped down off the bed and was sleeping in his dog bed. Hubby kept snoring for quite a while and I took about 1/2 hour to fall asleep again.

11-27-2020

Up at 3AM. I heard Hubby coughing a lot. So I got him some water and made him take more Vitamin D. I took more Vitamin D and went back to bed.

Up at 6AM and Hubby gave me another couple Benadryl because I was sneezing, coughing, runny nose. I slept until 9AM when I heard him on the phone talking to the guy that wants a new engine.

I got up and made lattes. I made Eucalyptus tea for both of us. Hoping this is not Covid. 

I had sausages. We watched TV news for a while. I laid down on the sofa and took another nap with the blanket on me.

I got up and did stuff around the house. Put dishes away, cleaned up breakfast dishes. Made the bed. Gave fresh water to the birds. Picked up Wilson poo out in the yard.

 

Hubby got the 2nd shelf done in the armoire. He will finish it with a matching varnish later. 

I made appointments for us to do the drive-thru Covid-19 testing at the Fire Department next Thursday.

Then at 2PM, we left and took Wilson over to the Doggy park to see if he could play with a friend. But nobody was in the large park. We went to the little dog area, but Wilson refused to play with the little dogs. 

Finally, a Husky named Koda with his owner, an older woman came and Wilson ran around with him for a little while. We really tried to get them to play, but neither one of the dogs wanted to play.

We left and took our laundry over to the laundry mat. We loaded them in three washers. It was $2.00 each washer, I did not have enough quarters, so Hubby had to get change. 

We drove me to the nail place. Only supposed to have 2 people in the shop and there was me, another woman with Andy's mom, and 2 women sitting on the sofa. I was nervous. Did not feel good anyway. 

Got my nails done. Hubby had gone over to the shop and talked with Lupe about doing the engine swap with the guy. Hubby picked me up at 3:45PM. We went to get the clothes out of the laundry. Wilson and I waited in the truck while Hubby got the laundry in bags. 

We drove to Walmart to get milk and egg nog. Ran into Scott there. He had gotten a new car - a Ford Escape in dark rootbeer color that looked black in the light. It had flecks of red, green, gold and brown. Looks really great.

Shopped in Walmart. Got donut-bites, milk, eggnog, bread. 

Drove home. I unloaded Wilson. He had to go potty badly and I let him out the door. He drank lots of water outside. I went potty and started putting things away. I gave Wilson some turkey because he was hungry for a treat. 

Hubby did not come in for a while. He was outside talking with our neighbor Norm, who was driving his car around. Hubby brought in the rest of the groceries. 

There was a box from UPS on the front door step. It is our new control panel from LG for the washer! Hubby said he would install it tomorrow.

Outside, I plugged in the blue lights and the blow-up dog that we got from Walmart. We will put up the lights on the back fence tomorrow.

Hubby and I put away the three loads of laundry after drying them in our dryer that still works!

I made turkey sandwich and Hubby made one for himself. We sat and watched HOUSE until 7PM. Hubby then watched his own shows.

I took a Benadryl and went to bed at 8:30PM.

THANKSGIVING

THURSDAY

11-26-2020 

 

Up at 6:45AM, heard Hubby in the kitchen. He was struggling to get the big bird in the oven. 

I made the bed. Then I made lattes & Nanogreens. 

Hubby and I toasted wine while I was sitting in the office typing this. We toasted to not another year alone celebrating Thanksgiving. Hate 2020.

I put all my pumpkins on the credenza and put place settings out on the table. Early, as we probably won't get the damn turkey cooked until 7PM. 

Hubby put the bird in the oven upside down. He left the oven on baking while we went to Todd's shop and picked up his welder from the guy next door. Took Wilson with us in the Dually. It was cold and Wilson put his nose out the window. On the way back, we saw some weird guy at the bottom of Flat Top Mesa Drive who was walking with a HUGE American flag. The guy was dressed in shorts and a short-sleeved shirt. It was kinda odd as it was cold outside.

Then we came back home. Hubby drained the juice out of the turkey. The oven liner on the bottom of the oven had melted itself to the bottom of the oven and was burning. It smelled like burnt plastic in the house. I had to open the doors and turn on all the exhaust fans and turn up the ceiling fans. We took the burnt plastic out of the oven and threw it away in the garbage.

I vacuumed the house as Wilson had black dog hair EVERYWHERE. 

We ate turkey dinner at 1PM. Both of us were not very hungry. Did not eat much. We had too much left-overs. Hubby left the food out so we could snack. 

We watched Horrible History on Hulu, then watched HOUSE on Prime Video.

I cleaned up the dishes and turned on the dishwasher.

I fell asleep on the sofa from 3-4PM. 

KR called at 5PM. We talked to her for about an hour. They had Thanksgiving with pies they made for all the food.

 

Hubby cleaned up all the food. 

We watched TV. Boring day. Depressing without friends or family.

Went to bed at 8:30PM.

DAY BEFORE THANKSGIVING

WEDNESDAY

11-25-2020 

Up at 6AM, Wilson was on the bed with me and cuddled in to my arm. Then Hubby came in to the bedroom and we all slept another 30 minutes.

Hubby got up to let Wilson outside. Wilson walked with me into the potty and I held him until Hubby had his collar on him and could let him outside. 

I made the bed and then went to the kitchen. Hubby was making eggs. I made lattes & Nanogreens.

 

Hubby's brother called again to let him know he was almost home.

I warmed up sausage. We watched TV News for a while. 

 

Wilson in his corner. Depressed.

 

 

Hubby was looking for parts on Auto Zone and had to cross reference parts numbers with their company SKU numbers.

Guy from Auto Zone parking lot called and discussed putting new engine in his truck with Hubby.

I took Wilson for a walk to get mail.

On our way home, Hubby was pulling out of the driveway and leaving. I waved him down and he came back to hug & kiss me goodbye.

 

I got a box from Etsy of the pumpkin stems and glued them on to my pumpkins. They look really good, but I need the "medium" size and not the "large" size. 

 

 

I watched TV for a while, Without A Trace. 

 

Hubby got home at 4PM. Wilson was really excited to see Daddy home.

I worked on Quickbooks doing bookkeeping. 

We watched TV for a while. 

Went to bed at 9PM.

 

WASHER STILL BROKE / PICK UP WALMART GROCERIES

TUESDAY

11-24-2020 

 

 

 

Up at 6AM. Heard Hubby making egg breakfast for Wilson in the kitchen.

 

Checked on the Washing machine and it was still giving an error code. Stupid appliances. WHY do they have to break down before holidays?

 

We changed the bedding on the master bed. 

 

I made lattes & Nanogreens. 

 

I cleaned up dog poo and put warm clean water in the bird bath. 

 

Hubby cleaned the cat litter. He talked with neighbor, Gary next door when they were bringing in their garbage cans. Neighbors are leaving to visit family until Monday. 

 

Hubby called around for service. Nobody willing to come out. Sears wanted us to subscribe to yearly "service fee" for repair. Finally called Lindi in Mesquite and they can come out Monday.

 

I tried cleaning tub and Hubby said that it is the "gel-coat" on fiberglas tub that is coming off and looking black because of thin covering. Need to have company come out and do another gel-coat on tub.

 

Hubby turned off the power to the washing machine again to see if it would re-set the machine.

Hubby sat down to watch TV and find error codes on LG Washers. Need to call a re-glazer for the bathtub.

Ordered a washing machine control board from Amazon. 

I picked up neighbor's box from our driveway that had blown from garbage can. I went down to get the mail.

At 1:30PM, we took the Dually down to the shop and mailed another package for KR with the Dog ornaments and the snowflake ornamen/tool for Spencer. 

 

I talked to Suzy for a while and Hubby dropped off some Pumpkins for the Martinez Brothers' wives. They were very happy to get them. 

Hubby was in the lot across the street waiting for me. 

We then drove to the Mesquite Fine Arts Center to visit the Christmas Boutique. Had to walk Wilson around the parking lot. He had a lot of trouble pooping and got it all over himself. Hubby put down the truck bed tailgate and we put him on it so we could wash the fur around his butt. Hubby got out paper towels and water. I washed him. 

Then we went inside the Fine Arts Center. I got a weird looking glass reindeer. Not a lot of "gift" items. Mostly it was Xmas decor & ornaments. 

We had to wear masks, and they had sanitizer to put on before we entered.

Hubby went potty while we were there.

Afterwards, we drove to The Front Porch Flowers & Gifts. I got a couple gifts for the neighbors. I went in by myself while Hubby waited with Wilson in the truck.

We drove to Auto Zone to pick up some parts for Hubby. He was in there for over 30 minutes. Finally came out and talked with some guys about replacing a motor in their truck. 

I was STARVING so we drove to Wendy's to get burgers and chicken nuggets. Hubby got fuel and then we sat in the truck to eat. Wilson got some burger.

Drove to the Dog Park to take Wilson. He is so lonely and needed another dog to play with. We walked in the park, but the one dog there left as we came inside. Wilson was sad and sniffed noses with the dog. Wilson ran FAST while he was in the park. But we could not stay long as the sun had already gone done 4:30PM and it was fast getting cold. I only had a light sweater and Hubby forgot his sweatshirt. We will have to start taking jackets if we go late at night. 

Went to Walmart to get our grocery order. The turkey was 16 pounds. Hubby was scared it is too big. Too late now to trade it or get a smaller one!

Drove home. Unloaded groceries. Had to turn on the fireplace. Cold!

We got out the roaster and the turkey will BARELY fit. Ooops. 

Hubby put the turkey in a cooler to defrost it until Thursday. Hope it gets defrosted by then!

Both of us were sneezing and Hubby was COUGHING a lot, so we both took massive dose of Vitamin C, Vitamin D and some Benadryl. 

We watched TV but I started falling asleep and we went to bed at 9:30PM. Hubby is still tired from going to the races for 4 days straight!

GUYS UTV RIDE TO MESA BRUCE GOES HOME / DOG FOOD TO TATER

MONDAY

11-23-2020 

 

 

 

Up at 5AM to potty. Then back to bed. Got up at 6AM. Hubby had already let Wilson out to potty.

Hubby made toast, eggs, sausage for breakfast for guys breakfast. 

Bruce took shower, packed everything. He is leaving today.

I made lattes, coffee for Bruce, and Nanogreens. 

We had breakfast at the counter. 

Guys left for UTV ride on the Mesa while I cleaned breakfast dishes and started dishwasher.

I started clothes in washing machine and stripped down the spare bed. Washed the sheets. 

I cleaned cat litter and vacuumed. Cats had peed behind the armoire. So I had to clean it up and vacuum behind the armoire. 

Guys got back at 10AM. 

I stuffed my crochet pumpkins. Bruce stayed talking until Noon and then finally let for home. We waved him off after saying goodbyes.

 

Hubby put away clean laundry. He made soup. 

 

I walked with Wilson to get mail. The mail had not been delivered yet. The mailman did not get there until later and I walked down again by myself. The new Business credit card had arrived. Time to pay for things to work on our $750 credit. 

 

I paid for the dog training in January 2020. 

 

Hubby helped me make the bed in the spare bedroom with clean sheets. We poured bleach in the tub to clean it. Then I turned on the bathroom fan to air it out.

I made hot cocoa with schnapps for Hubby. Made a hot latte for me.

 

Chad from Bulldog Pest Control came sprayed only the outside at 1:30PM and he left before I could pay him. 

We sat on the sofa and I showed Hubby all the news on my cell phone from this past week. Hubby fell asleep.

Then I woke him up to call for wall ovens. Hubby tried calling Home Depot, but the Appliance department never called back after he was transferred 10 times. 

Hubby called Fred's Appliance and they had a wall oven in stock and could deliver it by Dec 1. Hubby called Mike to make sure he could install it. 

Mike was happy to install it. I am sure Cindy will be happy to have a working oven again.

Then we took Wilson, loaded him in the Dually, we drove to get Dog Food at Animal Farm; dropped off our payment for Bulldog Pest Control; dropped dog food at Eric's house. Tater was sleeping with Victoria who was not feeling well. Tater did not come barking at the door when we knocked. We were upset not to see him. We dropped off a dog bed and some of his plastic bones.

We drove to Walmart to shop, but Hubby decided we needed to call it in and pick it up instead of shopping there because of Covid. 

 

We instead drove to Panda Express and got dinner. 

 

Bruce called Hubby several times to talk with him. Bruce was in Grand Junction overnight. 

 

Drove home, ate dinner.

 

Mike and Cindy called, they were concerned about us trying to sell the house. Hubby talked to them for over an hour to calm them down. 

 

I did bookwork on Quickbooks. Paid bills.

 

We watched Mythbusters on TV.

 

I took a hot bath. 

 

Hubby made the bed ready for night time. 

 

Hubby was watching old Saturday Night Live on Hulu. 

 

I tried to wash clothes and there was a "CL" error code that could not be removed. OMG. What else can go wrong?

 

 

 

 

4TH AND FINAL DAY AT STREET CAR SUPERNATIONALS

 SUNDAY

11-22-2020 

 

 

Up at 6AM. Hubby had to hurriedly make breakfast eggs into burritos. Then he woke me up by asking me to make lattes & coffee.

 

I got up, made the bed. Went potty.

 

Then I went to the kitchen. Hubby had already put Wilson outside for potty, fed the cats some tuna, and fed Wilson his breakfast eggs. 

 

I made lattes and Nanogreens. 

 

Hubby went out to the garage to get some bearings drilled for Rizner's racecar. Bruce was still taking a shower. 

 

Then the guys left at 6:45AM. 

 

I cleaned up breakfast dishes, started dishwasher. I made the bed in the spare bedroom. I cleaned up the dirty towels from showers and started the laundry.

 

I vacuumed cat litter. 

 

I crocheted and watched Without A Trace on TV.  

Wilson is still depressed without his friend and just spends hours at the front door, looking outside. I keep telling him that Tater is attending Doggy training camp. 

Took Wilson for a walk at 1:30PM.

Guys got home at 8PM. They talked for a while. I went to bed. 

Hubby came to bed at 9PM after putting clothes in dryer.

3RD DAY AT STREET CAR SUPER NATIONALS

SATURDAY

11-21-2020

 

 

 

Awake at 6AM, went to potty. Hubby put Wilson on the bed with us. Rattler had slept with us for a while last night.

 

I got up and made the bed. Hubby went out to make eggs for Wilson and burritos. He fed Wilson. He gave tuna to the cats. 

 

I made lattes & Nanogreens.

 

Then I took the FMF to Walmart to get groceries. Picked up some toilet paper and a container of Clorox Wipes. 

I came back and Hubby unloaded the car. His brother did not bother to help. Too busy on his phone. 

They left. I tried putting the car in the garage and accidentally hit the wall. 

I found Hubby's phone in the bathroom. They came back as they had just gone down to Jose's lot. Hubby picked up his phone and we had to do paperwork for the Ranchero and Trailer. It took Hubby trying to re-do the paperwork 4 times before he finally got it correct.

They left again and took the paperwork to Casey down at the Virgin River hotel. Casey and family are leaving again today. They are taking the enclosed trailer with them.

I crocheted with the new yarn that I purchased at Walmart.

Wilson and I walked down to get the mail at 2PM. We walked the back way behind the houses to get home. There were 2 golf carts that were coming down the wrong way. They were on the narrow sidewalk. I stopped and stared at them. They drove off the sidewalk and down the wrong side of the road. Fucking drunks.

We got home and I took Wilson's harness off. Gave him chicken for a treat. I put away laundry. 

I crocheted. 

Watched TV. Guys got home at midnight. I unlocked the door for them.

I went to bed. 

The guys had left-overs for dinner and talked until 1AM.

2ND DAY AT STREET CAR SUPER NATIONALS

FRIDAY

11-20-2020

 

Up at 5AM to potty then I came back to bed. Hubby put Wilson on the bed with us as he had slept on the dog bed all night. Robert had slept between us for quite a long time.

 

I made the bed. Then I made lattes & Nanogreens in the kitchen. I made a coffee for Bruce, too. 

 

Hubby made spicy burritos and still had left-overs from yesterday. 

 

I washed Hubby's t-shirt from yesterday. 

 

They left at 8:30AM to go back to Vegas for the Street Car Super Nationals with the Rizners. 

Right after they left, I vacuumed outside to create noise. Then I vacuumed the whole house and cleaned up the cat litter. I started more laundry and put laundry away. I changed the sheets in the spare bedroom and washed them. 

I cleaned the vacuum cleaner bag out. At 9AM, a whole bunch of UTVs parked out in front of the house, they must have been picking somebody up. Gary, next door neighbor drove out with them.

I ordered some faux pumpkin stems on Etsy to put on my velvet crochet pumpkins.

I crocheted.

Watched Cold Case on TV. 

Took a short nap in the afternoon.

Wilson and I took a walk down to get mail. We also went to the park, it was soaking wet. It also started sprinkling AGAIN while we were walking in the grass. Got wet. 

Walked home. Just junk mail.

At home, I crocheted some more. 

Guys got home at 9PM. I went to bed immediately. I was tired. 

Guys stayed up and had left-overs and went to bed at 11PM.

FIRST DAY OF STREET CAR NATIONAL DRAG RACES AT LAS VEGAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY

THURSDAY

11-19-2020 

 

Rattler slept with us for a while last night. I rolled over on my side and hugged him. He was warm. 

Up at 4AM. I made the bed. Hubby took Wilson outside to potty.

Bruce was up at 5AM and took a shower. 

Then I made lattes and Nanogreens. Hubby made burritos for him, Bruce, and all the guys for the race track. I made a coffee for Bruce.

Hubby put out the hamburger, brats, buns, and chips so they could take to the racetrack with them. "I'm not paying $10 for a hotdog" Old man quote. 

They left at 6AM. They guys took Bruce's truck down to Jose's yard but Hubby had forgotten the keys to the yard inside the truck that was locked behind the fence. So Bruce had to climb the fence to get inside! They then drove down to Vegas for the Races!

 

I started dishes and did laundry.

I started to crochet until the sun came up. Wilson sat on the sofa with me. 

Hubby called me to let me know that Bruce had to scale the fence at Jose's so they could get Hubby's truck & Keith's trailer as Hubby had left the keys to the fence inside the Dually inside the fence!

I walked with Wilson to get mail. Dave & Carmen were outside saying goodbye to Janet as she was leaving their house in her car. I talked to her and she thanked me for her pumpkin.

I went inside their house and looked at their new shutters they just had installed. Very nice.

Carmen gave me a couple bull penis chews for Wilson. Wilson and I walked back home.

I crocheted some more. Wilson worked on his chew and looked out the front door.

Guys returned home at 8PM. They talked for a while, rinsed out coffee cups, gave me their dirty clothes to wash.

We went to bed at 9:30PM. 

UTV BREAKFAST / GUYS AT SHOP / SAMURAI 21

WEDNESDAY

11-18-2020 

 

 

Up at 5AM. Very lonely without Tater in the bed. I think we will go ahead with the training in January and see if that helps with the dog. Hubby and I talked in bed until 6AM when we got up. 

 

I got dressed and took Wilson out to potty. He was very dejected. Stood at the side of the house for a long time, then I encouraged him to go potty and he finally went over to the fence and peed. There was nobody walking past on the sidewalk, so he did not get the urge to bark. 

 

Hubby warmed up the breakfast bake for Wilson. Wilson ate half-heartedly. He is depressed that Tater did not come home. 

I made the bed. Then Bruce was up and talking with Hubby. Bruce took a shower. I made lattes & Nanogreens. 

We sat in the living room and Hubby realized he was late for his 8AM breakfast. It was 7:58AM when they left. 

I crocheted and watched TV. Made toast for breakfast. 

Opened the doors when it got warmer. 

Hubby and Bruce were gone all day. They were down at the shop. Wilson and I took a walk. I did laundry and put it away. I vacuumed. I put clean dishes away.

Watched Cold Case on Roku channel on TV.

They came back about 4PM. Hubby parked his truck & trailer out on Flat Top Mesa while Bruce came to the house and got his pick up truck. He met Hubby out on Flat Top Mesa so they could caravan down to the shop and drop off Rizner's trailer. Norm, our neighbor, happened to drive by and pulled over to talk. Wilson and I said goodbye to Hubby thru the fence. 

 

Hubby and Bruce returned briefly. They changed clothes and went out to dinner at Samurai 21 with Casey and family. 

 

 

Returning at 7PM, they talked on the sofa for hours. I started feeling aches and body pain, so I went to bed early. I took some pain killer and aspirins. Finally, the pain went away after a while. But it was truly the worst that I had felt in ages!

VISIT FROM ANIMAL CONTROL / HUBBY GOES ON UTV RIDE / BROTHER IN LAW VISITS

TUESDAY

11.17.2020 

 

 

Awake at 5AM after the lawnmowers started working on the golf courses. Should call for noise complaint.

Hubby made baked breakfast eggs for dogs. He made burritos. 

I got up at 6AM and took a hot bath. Everything hurt again. Lupus problems. So I took aspirin and meds for pain. 

Hubby had to run down to the shop really quickly at 8:30AM to meet a guy. 

Hubby called me to move the Golf Cart to he could get the UTV out when he got back home. 

Just as I was getting the Golf Cart out, at 9AM had a visit from the Animal Control, about excessive barking of the dogs. I tried to pin them down about what time, but they just had a "general" complaint. Could not say when, or how much barking. The dogs were barking at the front door, of course, not giving a good impression. So Hubby got home and talked with them. I had to go inside and put dogs in kennel.

I put the muzzles on both dogs. Then charged up the electric collars.

 

I applied for credit with Chase INK card and was instantly awarded 3 times the amount of credit that Capital One SPARK card had taken away from us yesterday. I am so PISSED with them that we are NOT GOING TO USE THE SPARK CARD ANYMORE. Fuck them. Taking credit away from a small business during Covid is like a slap in the face. Fuckers.

 

 

Checked on the account at MACU and they finally refunded the amount that was overpaid for the Building Appraisal.

 

I backed up the Golf cart so that Hubby could get his UTV out.

Hubby took off for his UTV ride. He came back at 1:30PM. The gang had taken the UTVs all the way down to the antenna station alongside the Interstate 15 about 15 miles south of Mesquite to check it out.

Hubby vacuumed. I went to get mail.

Hubby left again at 2PM to down to the shop. He took Tater with him. Might have to re-home Tater. 

Tater ends up with Eric and going to Eric's house. He met Eric's dogs. Might have to leave him there for while. 

I was so livid with the neighbors. Dogs are dogs and they bark. 

Hubby returned at 5PM with Bruce and took a shower. I talked to Bruce. Hubby and Bruce took off to Samurai 21 to eat with Casey & family. I stayed home with Wilson. 

Hubby returned with his brother about 8:30PM. 

I sent a message to the only Facebook seller that answered my message on the availability of their wall ovens. Gave them Hubby's phone number. 

I crocheted while Hubby and Bruce talked. We sat in the living room. I went to bed at 10PM.

YOGI WINDOW CLEANING / ST GEORGE DOG TRAINING

Up at 3AM to potty. Then I got up at 6AM. 

Made lattes & Nanogreens. Hubby made breakfast bake for dogs and put it in the fridge.

We gave the ham & bone to the dogs one at a time. Tater had a fun gave of keep-away. 

Tadjir from Yogi Window Cleaning came at 7:45AM. I was vacuuming. Then I cleaned out cat litter. Hubby finished vacuuming. 

 

Window Cleaning was finally finished at 10:30AM. I paid him and let him pick out a pumpkin. He picked out the white one.

We looked up wall ovens online Facebook Marketplace and messaged a couple to see if they were available.

Capital One SPARK card sent an email advising that due to Economic challenges and our ability to NOT charge the card up to our limit, they were reducing our credit limit by $5000. Which directly affects our credit rating, limits our ability to charge, and just generally pisses me off. 

I had Hubby call them to request a correction, but they refused. The Supervisor even got on the phone and said "Lots of people are even having their cards taken away" What. The. Actual. Fuck? 

You want to eliminate people's ability to charge with small businesses, even though we have PERFECT credit, pay in full every month on time, and use the damn card for ALL business purchases? Fuck you. Fuck you. Fuck you. 

I told Hubby that tomorrow I would apply for a different business card. Corporate Bank Billionaires are trying to control small businesses. Eliminate small business. Fuck you.

We left home at 2PM with the dogs. Drove to St George. Stopped at the Steel Yard to pick up steel for a project. Then we drove to the Treasure Valley Park to meet the Dog Trainers. They were nice and we observed all the trainers that were working in the park without electric collars. Brian & Misty. Misty said they had no time available until Jan 2 to train Tater. So they were going to email us paperwork we could fill out for them to train the dog.

Afterwards, we drove to Lowe's. I waited in the truck while Hubby went inside to get a 2x4 for a project. I shopped at Michaels (FAR TOO MANY PEOPLE IN THE STORE) to find scented pinecones, but they only had pinecones with SPARKLE on them. No Thanks. So I walked out. Hubby picked me up. Then I wanted a Pumpkin Smash from Jamba Juice, but they were "out of pumpkin".

We drove back to the Corn Dog Food truck. Ordered corndogs, but "they were out of chips" OMG. What else can go wrong with this day?

Hubby wanted to go back to Joann's to get pinecones, but I told him that I was not interested in shopping anymore due to Covid fears and that I would find the pinecones online to purchase.

We instead drove back to Petroleum Gas Station and got Diesel for $2.15! Wow. A savings of 50-70 cents! 

Drove back to Mesquite and stopped at Pilot Station in Littlefield and got Lottery tickets.

At home, put dogs out for potty. 

I made Hubby a hot cocoa and schnapps. Made a hot coffee for me. Hubby took Nyquil and Benadryl for his cold. 

Hubby took a nap on the sofa. We watched Eureka on TV.

Went to bed at 8:30PM.

 Up at 6AM. After taking a couple Melatonin, I was able to sleep quite well.

I got up and made the bed. Got dressed.

Hubby started to cook eggs for the dog breakfast. He fed the dogs.

I made lattes & Nanogreens. We sat on the sofa and watched News on TV.

I picked up dog poo outside and gave water to the birds in the bird bath.

Hubby cleaned up cat litter. 

Hubby's brother, Bruce called. He is already on the road from Iowa and will arrive Tuesday for the Street Car Supernationals at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway this coming weekend.

Hubby started cooking his ham in the oven. 

I started laundry. 

Let the dogs outside to play.

We watched the early episodes of Saturday Night Live. It was pretty awful back then. We watched Eureka on TV most of the day.

I crocheted a white pumpkin. Hubby says it will get dirty.

 

I took a little nap. 

Ordered groceries from Walmart.

Went to get groceries at 7PM. 

Jesus loaded our groceries in parking spot #5. 

We went home and unloaded groceries.

Watched movie 15:17 to Paris on TV.

I updated blog. Took some more aspirin.

Up at 7AM sleeping late as I took a Melatonin last night. 

 

Hubby had been up for a long time, he had made dogs breakfast eggs and fed them. He was still in his jammies and sitting on the sofa watching Automotive shows. He was sitting with a heating pad on his back.

 

I made lattes & Nanogreens. 

We sat on sofa and watched morning news on TV.

Tater climbed up on Hubby's lap. First time he ever sat on anybody's lap!

I finished the 6 pumpkins that I was working on and stuffed them. Glued on cinnamon sticks and tied heart buttons on them.

Hubby finally got dressed at 9AM. 

I went outside and picked up dog poo. I cleaned up cat litter. I vacuumed the rug outside as it was covered in black dog hair. 

Hubby vacuumed inside. 

Hubby watched videos on how to apply plaster on the garage outside where he backed into the corner. 

Then Hubby installed the tie-back in the bathroom for the curtain.

Hubby attempted to paint the trim around the glass on the front door. He had to clean the door off first as there was oil on it from when he worked on it the other day. Then he spray painted the front door. It would not accept the paint and kept bubbling and not adhering. 

Hubby made potatoes and beer bratwurst on the grille.

I crocheted another grey velvet pumpkin while sitting on the patio outside. It was nice and warm and sunny today.

Hubby put tacks in the blue chair in the office. It looks very nice now. 

Carmen, our neighbor, came over to print out a sales receipt for the car they sold to Raylene. She took a pumpkin over to give Raylene. 

We watched Eureka! on TV until bedtime at 9:30PM. Hubby had taken a couple Benadryl and fell asleep on the sofa for 2 hours.
