FACIAL & LUPUS DIAGNOSIS

OCTOBER 30 2019
WEDNESDAY

Got up at 6AM. Still dark and cold outside. Let the puppies outside to go potty.

Hubby made eggs for dogs.

I made sausage and lattes.

Hubby put his granite samples out in the front yard. He is so proud of them.

 Granite Core Samples

Hubby got dressed so he could go to the SXS Club Breakfast.

Put puppies in the kennel after feeding them eggs for breakfast; then I took Hubby over to the Pioneer Center so that he could take the truck/trailer to the shop.

He drove over to the Tire store to get the tires on the passenger side rotated.

I cleaned house, vacuumed, did laundry, did dishes.

Then I went to get my FACIAL at the Chrome Nail Bar by Smith's. Tina was the cosmetologist. She was very nice. I was there until 11:30AM. Then I came home.

At home, I made more latte. It was a cold day.

Put away laundry. Put away dishes.

Played with the puppies. They went outside and napped on the chairs & dog beds.

I watched Adam Ruins Everything.

At 4PM, the doctor's office called with my Lab results-they said I had an excessive amount of Calcium & Potassium in my blood and the Doctor told me to "quit taking supplements" per the nurse. I told her that I don't take supplements.

She advised that the ANA blood test indicated LUPUS.

I looked up the disease.

Then Norm came & rang the front doorbell. The dogs were good and did not bark. He was making sure we got an invitation to the Halloween Party tomorrow night.

Hubby called and told me to bring the bathing suits & bags so we could go swimming. I was to meet him at the Pioneer Center.

I met him at 5PM. We walked inside and ordered name tags. Filled out info and paid.

Then we swam. Went in hot tub at 6PM. Took showers and changed. I bought Cokes for us from the vending machine. Left at 6:30PM.

At home, we put dirty clothes in laundry. Let the puppies out for potty.

Hubby made spaghetti & meatballs with garlic pasta sauce.

Went to bed early as I was not feeling well.

PEDICURES

TUESDAY
10-29-2019

Up at 6:30AM. I made lattes.

Put dogs in kennel.

Hubby drove the truck & trailer to the Pioneer Center. I drove the Expedition. Met him at the door; we got in line to buy BINGO tickets for next month.

Talked to a lady named Shari that walks a dog named Wallace.

Talked to a really nice older guy that was a marine (that damn irish idiot) in Vietnam. He was 78. Was going to a golf game afterwards. Very nice guy.

Hubby registered his truck & trailer for parking.

Then I drove the Expedition home and Hubby was passenger. We made eggs for the dogs at home. I had more latte & sausages for breakfast.

I updated info online blog; looked up our expensive data on Verizon bill; then emailed Pulte Warranty again as they have not done anything on our concrete that is falling apart.

We put the dogs in the kennel and went to get our pedicures at Chrome Nail Bar by Smith's.

We were there from Noon to 1PM. Then Hubby was hungry and we ate at the Mason Street Courtyard. Hubby had the lunch buffet. I ordered a breakfast egg, sausage, french toast & hashbrowns.

On the way cashiering out, we ran into Amy & Jay. Told them we were going to 3 Corners on Thursday with the SXS gang, meeting at 8:30AM.

We then drove to Scenic to cash our winning lottery tickets $3 - and bought more tickets for Lottery.

Drove to Walmart to buy a button for my wool sweater and another Keuring for the Camper.

No chicken nuggets for dogs.

At home, we let dogs out and sat on the patio for a while.

I check our "overage" on DATA for Verizon.

BINGO

monday
october 28 two thousand nineteen

Got up at 6AM. My back was still hurting.

I made the bed then came out to the kitchen and made lattes. Hubby had brought in the Keuring machine.

Hubby vacuumed.

I updated my Blog for the trip.

I took a hot bath. My back was still hurting.

I did laundry. Put away clean dishes.

Dogs took naps.

Cats Sleeping

Dave O. came over.

Hubby watched Automotive shows.

I put away clothes from Laundry.

I took a nap from Noon to 2:30PM on the sofa.

Hubby was still watching Automotive shows.

I got more things out of the camper. Clothes, garbage, custard,

We got cleaned up and changed. Put dogs in kennel. Left at 4:30PM to go for BINGO.

Played Bingo. Ate Pizza. I won the first COVERALL. Shauna was sitting there with 1 number and I had 4 numbers left. So I steadily got more called. Then I won with another woman. Had to split the $780 coverall. I WON $360. OMG.

Winning Bingo

We left and went to Walmart for groceries. Came home, unloaded groceries. Let dogs outside for potty.

I took a hot bath. Watched GOLIATH on TV. Then went to bed at 10PM. Hubby came to bed at 11PM.

BRADSHAW MOUNTAINS TRIP

FRIDAY
OCTOBER 25

Got up at 6AM. I hurried and made the bed, vacuumed, made lattes.

Hubby started packing things into the Camper. We put everything on the edge of the counter. Hubby FORGOT the dog eggs.

Wanted to get breakfast, but nothing was west of Mesquite. Got off at Love's Fuel Center just outside of Las Vegas, but nothing was open & nothing in the hot case. We drove on.

Stopped at McDonalds at the corner of Nellis Blvd & Las Vegas Blvd where we picked Tater up all those months ago. Got breakfast sandwiches. I waited in the truck with the dogs. Hubby went inside.

We drove thru Las Vegas on Nellis Blvd South, then drove the Interstate 11 Bypass around Boulder City. Nice road. Was not there before...recent road.

Stopped every couple hours for potty or fuel. Walked dogs a lot.

93 South to Kingman, traffic jam at Kingman getting onto I40 then rough road to Ash Fork where we turned South on 93 again. 2-lane traffic until we got to Chino Valley. Lots of round-abouts there!

As we made the turn out of Ash Fork and south to Chino Valley, there was LOTS of smoke from a fire; it reminded both of us of Idaho fires from past years. We hoped that the fire smoke did not reach where we were going--that would be an awful weekend.

By the time we got to Chino Valley, the air had cleared.

"Cat-Poop" boulders along highway east of Kingman, AZ
Hubby and Pizza at Aroma Pizza
Aroma Pizza

Called ahead and ordered pizza. Walked dogs at a turn-out with a "free" gross sofa at the side of the road.

Stopped for Pizza in Chino Valley. Aroma Pizza. I read online that reviews were great for the pizza. It was only ok.

Drove back north a few blocks to Safeway and got groceries there.

Finally got to Eric's property at 5PM. We positioned the camper by the hook-ups and everybody got around the Campfire by the house. We toured the grounds. Eric's dad has a custom vintage Gas-station themed garage.

Bob & Chris are Eric's parents and this was their property/Eric's property that we parked our Camper. Then Jim & Gina, Eric's brother & sister-in-law came over with their dog, Buck. Eric was there with his daughter, Victoria.

Everybody had food that Jim & Gina had brought over to the house from their wedding 2 weeks before. They had hamburgers, brats, potato salad, chips, dessert was  It was very nice.

I went to bed early, about 7PM because I was so tired from the long drive that day. I was very dizzy and nauseated.

SATURDAY
OCTOBER 26

Got up at 6AM, I had made lattes. Thought I warmed up the quiche we had bought from Safeway yesterday and Hubby started to feed it to the dogs, but it was a CUSTARD instead. Stupid labeling. So we gave them some dog ham we had bought instead.

We drove in the SXS to the gas station at the end of the block; it was cold so I dressed warmly. Scarf, gloves, sweater, coat. It got warm VERY quickly.

 Gilligan's Spring Valley

Picked up pre-made sausage, egg, and bacon biscuits. Went back to the camper and fed the dogs these instead. Both Hubby and I had biscuits, also before the ride.

Left Bob's house at 10:02AM; then drove in the Bradshaw Mountains until we got back home at 3:31PM. Over 64.9 miles.

Stopped for a brief potty stop near the end.

 Bradshaw Mountains in AZ

Lots of twisty, turny, narrow trails on the way back thru the high mountains. They seemed to last forever! Ran into several people on the trail in big trucks & Jeeps which did not look like they would fit thru the tiny trails.

Back at Bob's home in late afternoon.

Hubby and I were both COVERED in dust as we took up the rear of the 3 SXSs.

I went into the Camper and immediately took a nice, hot, refreshing shower. I had forgotten shampoo & conditioner but made do with Dawn Dishwashing detergent.

Then I convinced Hubby to come inside and take a shower. The feeling of cleanliness was wonderful. We were clean for bed.

I cleaned up the shower stall and dirty clothes afterwards, then found that the shower pan was full of water. We had to drain the tank as it was full.

Bob talked Hubby into hooking up into water directly. More water pressure.

We sat around the campfire and had food; Chris was going to have shish-kabobs, but instead just put everything she had for it in a stew. I skipped dinner because I was feeling SO nauseated. I kept getting more dizzy every time I walked over to the Camper; to potty Wilson, to get my sweater, to go potty. Walked Wilson everywhere on a leash. Tater ran loose because he had Jim & Gina's dog - Buck to play along with Buddy & Beau which were Bob and Chris' little poodle dogs.

Campfire

L to R - Bob, Jim, Hubby, Eric, Victoria

I was very tired and went to bed early at 7:30PM after it got dark. Dogs came with me.

Hubby got to Camper for bed at 10PM. He had drank lots of beers. He took the dogs for a brief potty walk before coming to bed.

SUNDAY
OCTOBER 27

VERY bad night sleeping. Waking up every 30 minutes and had backache. Hubby snored. Tater pushed on me all night long. It was not cold, but the bed was very uncomfortable. Popped out my back and hip. I refuse to sleep on that mattress until we get a new one.

Up at 5:30AM to get the lattes started. Turned on the heat to take off a slight chill. I warmed up leftover hamburger sandwiches from yesterday at the Saloon for the dogs along with a leftover breakfast sandwich that we had purchased yesterday.

Got the trailers hooked up and the SXS loaded on the trailers. Everybody watched Hubby hook up his stuff and Eric had to do his all by himself. Hubby then went over and helped Eric. Then we left about 9AM. Jim & Gina followed us in their Mercedes to the Flea Market in Prescott Valley- -Peddlers Pass Old Time Farmer's Flea Market. There were not a lot of tables there, but we walked them all with the dogs. Both dogs pooped & peed again. They also had lots of petting from everybody there. We kept running into a little kid and his mother that adored Tater.

Hubby purchased a drop-hitch for his truck for only $15.

We left about 9:30AM.

Drove to Chino Valley Maverik behind Eric and got Diesel Fuel. Since we had already walked dogs and they had pooped/peed, we left them in the truck. I used the camper for potty. Hubby had to potty inside the Maverik station. He got a Starbucks for me and candy for the trip.

We drove out to Hwy 93 and re-traced our way back on the highway. LOTS of HIGH WINDS about 40MPH on the Interstate 40. Then Eric had suggested we go back via Laughlin to see the Casinos on the river.

Eric drove his own way home. We told him not to wait for us.

It was very pretty. Nice route, but LOTS of wind.

Weird Rock Near Golden Valley, AZ

In Laughlin, we saw the Casinos on the river, then walked the dogs by the river at a park; picked up granitas at the Human Bean (they were not very good) and stopped at Long John Silver's for lunch. Which was absolutely DELICIOUS. I miss their fish and hush puppies.

We purchased a lottery ticket before we left Arizona.

Drove back via Highway 95 to Highway 11 to Interstate 515 bypass, then Interstate 15 and on into Mesquite.

We arrived back home at 5PM.

We unloaded the basics.

I took a hot bath. Let the dogs outside for potty. Cleaned up kitty litter.

Did a load of laundry.

Went to bed at 8PM. Hubby got to bed at 10PM.

DECORATE PUMPKIN/CLEAN CAMPER

thursday
10-24-2019

Got up at 6:30AM. Hubby put the puppies out with their bark collars. I turned on the Bark Ultrasonic control outside.

I took the sheets & comforter off the bed to wash them.

I made lattes.

Hubby made eggs for the dogs & fed them.

He made more eggs to take along on the camping trip to Flagstaff.

I cleaned up dog poo several times (dizzy when I lean over-getting worse); Hubby brought the cat litter out and I had to walk around the house again. (I sure wish he would get the side door & brick done on the house). Tater went outside and pooped AGAIN!

I had sausage, yogurt, and orange juice with vodka for breakfast. Thinking the alcohol would help with my headache & dizziness. The nausea is the worse. I just feel awful.

Hubby left at 8:30AM to go meet Jose to see the property he has in Scenic that he would sell. Hubby got back at 10AM and said that Jose said he would meet him at 11AM instead because he was too busy. Obviously Hubby was down there this entire time.

I washed clothes & put them away. Cleaned up breakfast dishes. Started dishwasher. Soaked my feet.

Put cream on my feet. Watered the tree in the front yard.

Ordered Hempz for Lips on Amazon.

Cleaned up cat litter again.

Hubby got home and carved our Pumpkin.

Hubby plugged the truck into Electricity.

We packed things and loaded the Camper. Have to load last minute things in the morning.

DREARY DAY/BUNCO

WEDNESDAY
10-23-2019

Hubby was up at 4:30AM and peed; then he came back to bed.

Got up at 7AM. We were very tired from last night. Dogs stayed in bed until then with us!

I made the bed. Hubby got up and started to get dressed.

I made lattes & made eggs with ham for the dogs.

I watered the tree outside in the front of the house.

Hubby fed the dogs.

Then he left to go eat breakfast with the SXS Club Guys at the Golden West Casino.

I vacuumed, did laundry, put away laundry, cleaned our closet, picked up dog poo, put cat poo & dog poo in the garbage, cleaned up breakfast dishes and started dishwasher.

Then I updated my blog from last night's awful episode of the Lake Mead Dinner cruise.

Let the dogs inside and out all morning.

Ordered shoes from ASOS.

London Chunky Lace Up Oxfords

Hubby called to say he wanted to go to the Candidate Forum at 3PM with John today. I said he had to make Spider Meatballs for Bunco tonight.

Hubby got back at 2PM and we decided against spider meatballs. Instead, just taking the scary cupcakes we purchased at Walmart.

We got ready and went over to the Pioneer Center, mistaking the room where we needed to be, we finally found the large room had been separated into two smaller rooms. The candidates, Donna & Karen were in the smallest room. It was hot and crowded. We sat beside John & Dee as they have saved seats for us. During the questions, the maintenance kid came in with more chairs, but the men standing in the back were reluctant to sit...

Questions were about petty things that were happening in the area. Questions were not relevant to the incoming candidates! What are we doing about a traffic light at the main entrance intersection? What about the flags flying out front? Why didn't you decorate your candidate table? Why don't  you listen to homeowners concerns? What about a dog park?

The Incumbent candidate reminds me of Hilary Clinton. What a bitch. I would like the slap the snide look off her face. She was SO smary and insulting when answering questions; since "we" are doing everything...

It was a total waste of time as Karen answered honestly and the other danced around questions like a true politician.

We left promptly and had to get ready for Bunco. We let the dogs out to potty at home, then Hubby changed clothes, put on his "Jason" mask, I put on my Spider hat. We drove over to the Pioneer Center again in the SXS.

Paid our Bunco fee. Tolerated the awful girl, sat at a table with new people. Then we started playing after 56 people came to Bunco; 14 tables with 4 people each. The most they have ever seen! Lots of new people. It was fun.

So we played. I neither lost nor won enough. Hubby was the same. We did not win anything. However, I WAS sitting next to the girl that had the SOCK at the end. It was her first time at Bunco as she lives in Settlers Cove. She won $24. It was exciting.

While waiting for the winners to be called, I massaged Hubby's shoulders & arms and the irritating girl came over and said "SHE" wanted to massage. I asked her nicely several times to get her hands off my husband and finally had to forcefully tell her "NO". What an ass of a kid. The parents really need to control her. Obviously she has been given a lot of leniency and leeway because of her mental condition. She is mean little thing.

We went home, let puppies out to potty. Watched TV for a while and went to bed at 10PM.

I was hurting all night. Sweaty and clammy. Had a headache. Got up at 3AM because it sounded like hurricane winds outside. Nothing in our yard was blowing around.

Went back to bed.

DOCTOR/LAKE MEAD DINNER CRUISE

OCTOBER 22 2019
TUESDAY

Got up at 6:00AM. Hubby had already been up. He was making eggs for the dogs.

Really dizzy when I got up this morning, as usual.

I got dressed and Hubby fed the dogs. I made the bed.

I made lattes.

We sat on the sofa to eat breakfast.

At 8:30, we went down to Mesa View Medical Group. I had to wait behind a dumb older man and woman that were discussing HOW TO WRITE DOWN THEIR NAMES ON THE CHECK-IN LIST!!! Finally, the guy put his name down and moved aside...about 7 minutes it took him to to this! I forgot my health insurance card at home. The check in desk girl reminded me that I NEED IT EVERY TIME I CHECK IN. WHY? They have it on file? Dumb ass rules.

Sat down with Hubby and waited to be called back. There was a Hispanic nurse that had me come back instead of the regular girl. Wonder what happened to regular nurse?

I had lost 20 pounds after weighing myself. I failed to ask how my BP was, and the nurse did not offer the info. She was very quiet, bordering on rude?

Got in the room and had to repeat my symptoms AGAIN. Doesn't anybody write this shit down?

Had to wait for the Doctor. Finally, got to see the Doctor and he asked AGAIN. What are your symptoms?

He did the regular overall-body check. When it came to my eyes following his finger, my right eye wiggled when it moved along with his finger. HE FREAKED OUT!

So immediately, he does not know what it is, but suspects Neurological, Thyroid, or Brain. Yippee.

He orders blood tests. Leaves the room and comes back with blood test orders.

We leave.

Since I require my Insurance card and don't have it, we instead go down to buy dog food at Animal Farm, True Value. The little girl is there and we say it doesn't stink! She says the owner of the building who lives in Oregon told them to put air-fresheners up and open the doors. What an ass. They finally insisted he fix the sewage smell.

We buy dog food from there and then go over to the $1 store where I find bath/foot salts, Hubby buys candy, we buy some more Awesome-O cleaner.

Drive over to Walmart, where somebody has finally fixed the leaking water pipe at the top of the parking lot.

We buy milk, orange juice, chicken tenders for dogs. I get a pumpkin to carve.

Then we head back to the house to let the dogs out to potty. I feed them chicken tenders.

We put them in the kennel again and head out. Have to stop at the Pioneer Center to pick up the other Zappos shoes in the Dually that Hubby never mailed last week!

Some Recreational Vehicle (newly purchased. no license) parked WAY too close to Hubby's truck & Garry's trailer. Hubby was upset that they might drive over the trailer on their way out, so he moved the truck & trailer to the end of the lot.

Bizarre Parking

Then we go to the Mesa View Medical Group again and I check in to get my blood drawn. We have to wait 40 minutes. Then there is a mistake when some other guy is called before me. The lady that is doing the blood draws is older (Rita from Mesquita; ha ha) and I am somewhat scared that she will mix up the paperwork. Finally, she figures it out and I get called back. She gets 3 vials of blood. Needle prick is not bad. We are gone 10 minutes later.

Drive to UPS to drop off Zappos return boxes. Hubby takes them over. I go to the Thrift Shop at the end of the strip mall. The thrift shops stinks. I go thru and don't find anything.

We drive back home. On the way home, a Rescue Vehicle running lights & sirens with a HUGE HONKA Noise goes past us ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF A 4 LANE DIVIDED ROAD. Mesquite Boulevard. Normally, intelligent people will not stop as it is not needed, according to STATE LAW. Everywhere. BUT...this DUMB BITCH. Slams on her brakes hard and cuts in front of us to STOP. Hubby almost hits her, but avoids it at the last possible second by hitting the brakes hard, throwing us against the windshield (thank god for seatbelts) as he pulls hard right. FUCKING line of cars behind us and in front of us are all in the right lane stopped for this fucking emergency vehicle. Oh My God. People here are THAT STUPID???

The only time that you don't have to stop, is if the emergency vehicle is on the other side of the roadway and the road is divided by a concrete barrier or a median of some type.

Never slam on the brakes and stop in the middle of the road when you see apparatus approaching. You are not required to slow down or pull over for emergency vehicles that are responding in the opposite direction on a divided freeway or highway.

Oh My God. We learned this in Driving 101. In High School. About 40 years ago. And the law has NEVER changed. But people are Stupid. Stupid. Stupid.

When Hubby passed her, she had her window down and I screamed 'WHAT THE FUCK' at her, but she was STILL on her cell phone. Stupid Bitch.

At home, we sit with the dogs until 3:30PM. Hubby had been napping on the sofa. I wanted to walk Wilson, but trying to get his harness on him, we run out of time.

We get dressed. Jeans and sweather with black shoes for me. I think it will be cold on the water...Hubby wears jeans & blue check shirt. He takes his sweatshirt and I take my sweater.

We go over and wait in chairs at the Pioneer Center. According to the front desk "somebody will be here to check you in" she vaguely states.

We wait and finally there are people gathering. We go to get on the bus and somebody is there, taking names. The woman cannot find our names, but finally does.

We sit in the back of the huge bus. Yolanda is our driver. A chubby black woman who is loud and happy.

Announcements on the bus. Then we get going promptly at 4PM. A 1 hour ride to Las Vegas, then 1 hour rush-hour traffic stop & go all the way to the Lake Mead Marina. It is SO pathetic. They have moved the marina out more and more and more because of the lack of water.

We are handed old, gross, pink Lake Mead cruise tickets which we turn over to the "photographer" 1 minute later. WHY are they still taking pictures before doing any adventure? Do people really buy these crappy touristy photos when one can take FREE selfies before boarding? It was MANDATORY to stop and have your photo taken. I hate that.

 Boat
 Boat

 Pink Disgusting Used Boarding Pass

It is completely dark by the time we board the boat. Other buses are there. We are on the bottom deck and have no view of anything! Might as well have been in a warehouse.

We get going and the servers come around. They take our drink orders, I stay with water. Hubby gets a Bloody Mary. His drink looks awful.

The salad was boring. Boiled eggs cut in half thrown on cut up lettuce. Hard bread with even harder butter.

We sit across from a nice couple who introduce themselves- Al & Toni. We make conversation, but it is SO loud and I cannot understand anything.

Our food comes out. Hubby has a thick cut of prime rib. Mine is as thin as paper! I eat mine, but there is no flavor and the color is an off-grey. Yuck. Hubby cannot even cut his prime rib because it is rubber. I eat my vegetables and the potatoes are not bad. Not worth anything we paid for this. We order coffee to warm up because IT IS SO DAMN COLD ON THE INSIDE OF THE BOAT, EVEN WITH ALL THE PEOPLE IN THE ROOM. There were over 50 people on the bus and about 20 more people on the side tables of the boat.

We finally go outside after dinner as I see us rounding up on the DAM. It is dark, but you can dimly see the sides of the canyon and the DAM is lighted.

UPPER DECK. LIGHTED DAM
Too many people are smoking outside. GOD DAMN PEOPLE. QUIT YOUR FUCKING SMOKING. IT IS SO GROSS.

We go back inside after talking on the top deck for a while. We had a so/so cake dessert. As we walked down from the top of the deck of the boat, I saw that the people on the upper dining room have HUGE pieces of cake. Ours are tiny when we get back to the table. Hubby asks for his dinner to go as he will give his to the dogs at home.

We dis-embark when we arrive back to the Marina. As a Sun-City group, we line up on the side of the waiting area for the Bus to come and it arrives, bringing dust from the lack of pavement. We are covered in dust. Cough, Cough.

This has NOT been an enjoyable time at all. Then we face a 2 hour ride back home.

The lights of Vegas are pretty. Time to observe as we are neither of us driving. Hubby is napping.

There is an envelope that is passed around to put a tip into for the Bus Driver, Yolanda. (who has her grandma's diamonds from a wedding band drilled into her teeth as she tells us, call me - Diamond!)

A couple of the men on the very back of the bus continue talking loudly even though it is dark inside the bus and most people are trying to nap. These men finally stop talking as we are leaving Vegas.

At 11PM, we arrive at the Pioneer Center. We say goodbye to Al & Toni who sat in front of us on the bus.

Then we drive the short way home.

We let the dogs out to potty. No havoc there. No pooping or peeing in kennel. They were extremely good for that entire time we were gone. But Rattler has kicked his curved scratcher onto the floor in the kitchen. Bad cat.

At the end of the night, I have a big, huge, blister on my right toe from the stupid shoes I wore.

We watch TV for a few minutes and go to bed at 11:30PM.
