Cold, Brr Morning

FRIDAY
10-17-2014

Woke up to really cold morning. Hubby has a stuffed up nose. My throat is extremely sore.

Lil Bit had crawled to the top of the bed and was sleeping on the pillows between us; he was hugging my arm with his paws. So cute.

Got up and it was extremely cold in the house. Really need to get the fireplace remote fixed!

I made cheese eggs for dogs. Made egg sandwich for hubby. Packed some grapes for his lunch.

After hubby left for work, I browned the pot roast we had purchased last night and threw it in the crockpot with onions, celery, and carrots. An hour later, it already smells DELICIOUS!

I started a load of laundry and started the dishwasher. Settled down with my Market Spice Cinnamon Orange Tea. Yum.

The UPS delivery driver (a temporary as our regular guy is on his honeymoon in Florida!) came with the Omron Electro Therapy for hubby. He saw it advertised the other night and said that other people that have tried it, told him it works pretty good for pain.

At Noon I took Bud, Ben, & Maggie out with me to get mail & feed deer. It is still very chilly, only 49 degrees! There was no mail, so we filled the deer food bowls.

I started crocheting a blanket for winter while watching a re-run of Thinner. That was a good show.

Hubby came home at 5:15. He had a snack and we quickly left to go up to Sandpoint. Maggie came with us. It was a treat. She never gets to come alone with us.

Stopped at Tom's Differentials to pick up parks. Hunter was there with his Boxer dog - Spencer. Spencer is SUCH a great dog. He has really filled out and gotten good muscle tone. Friendly dog. Hunter said that the dog had turned up at Tom's property a couple times looking for food and Tom finally decided not to return him to the owner who never wanted him in the first place. The poor dog had an embedded collar in his neck and had to recover from that. Who throws away a great dog like that? Spencer reminds me of Bud.

After Hunter gave hubby several new t-shirts and hats, we finally went to the former Big R (now re-named North Forty) and picked up dog food & deer food. Maggie came walking thru the store with us and picked out a pig ear which she ate out in the truck after we were done. EVERYBODY loved Maggie & wanted to pet her.

Stopped at Wal-Mart and Maggie waited in the truck while we got some groceries.

We drove to McDonalds to pick up burgers for the dogs.

Saw a dead deer going south on the west side of the road right after the Longbridge. So sad. WHY do they have to cross the road?

Got home and fed burgers to dogs. Unloaded groceries.

Hubby used his new Electro Therapy. Then he fell asleep on the couch. We went to bed at 10PM.
