Boating & The VERY HUGE LOG

SUNDAY
10-12-2014

I woke up at 3AM and could not fall back to sleep. Just lay in bed until about 7:30 when I finally fell to sleep.

Got up at 9AM. When hubby got up and Ben stuck his wet nose in my butt.

Made cheese eggs for dogs and egg sandwich for hubby on a Grands Flaky biscuit.

Went into Athol and got a Creme de Menthe latte for hubby. It was mostly foam.

Took dogs to Farragut park and parked in the RV area; some people started following us. We went on the high trail from the RV park. Ended up walking about 4 miles. Had to walk along the road back to the Excursion. Ran into other people along the road. More people walking, bikers, people walking dogs. Dogs were really thirsty when we got to the truck because hubby had decided not to carry water.

Drove back to the house and dropped off the dogs. Decided to go to the boat. By the time we unloaded deer food and fed deer, loaded up garbage, took Bud in the Dodge, it was windy again. Got down to the boat and it was blowing into the dock. Had a hard time getting it out. We motored slowly out of the bay and finally when we past the buoys, hubby shifted it into overdrive (but not too fast) and we hit a HUGE LOG. With a couple chains on it.

 LOG

It bounced under the boat a couple times and hubby automatically shut down the motors to check for damage. We decided to back up to the log and get it out of the water in case somebody else hit it. It had been impossible to see because of the wind on the water, the color of the log & water being exactly the same, and the cloudy sky. We thought that maybe something was telling us NOT to go out on the water today. So we motored slowly back to the marina. Tied the log up to the other dock, docked our boat, tied up, and packed everything up. Then drove home.

When we arrived home, we dropped Bud off so that he could enjoy bones with the rest of the dogs. I changed clothes and put on makeup; hubby changed his shoes. We drove over to Spokane Valley to compare beds at Denver Mattress. Met an interesting African America named Saint that helped us on the beds. We also looked at various couch sets but could not decide on anything we liked.

After leaving the bed store, we drove over to Wines & More; got Rum Chata, Strongbow beer, and Cinnamon flavored Whisky.

Hubby just HAD to have a steak, so then we ventured over to Black Angus. He got the special - Bone In Rib-Eye. I also had a glass of merlot copper ridge wine. Yum.

Then we drove back to Rathdrum and got burgers for the dogs at McDs.

Came home, fed dogs. Watched new season premiere of Walking Dead - SO suspenseful! The Good Wife, and CSI.

Went to bed on the mattress WITHOUT gel pad. Had a horrible night. Hubby snored all night. Maggie snored all night. I ended up sleeping with Ben on his bed.
