AT THE VET ALL DAY

MONDAY
5-6-2019

Up before dawn to make lattes. I had a quick bite of my eggs from yesterday.

Hubby fed the dogs eggs that he made last night.

We left at 6AM so that we could get Robert up to the Vet in St George between 7-8AM.

Put Robert in a kennel and drove to St George.

We got there and dropped him off. I gave them all the info.

We drove to Home Depot to look at doors (too expensive, nothing in the size we need), looked at Patio Sets (hubby said too expensive, tables too big) I found alternate Patio Set at Sears, but could not get on website to order via cell phone.

I went potty at Home Depot. We picked up o-rings for hoses and watering spigots for system that the dog had chewed off.

Then we were going to stop at Costco, but they were not open until 10AM.

We drove back home to Mesquite.

At home, hubby had me look up properties to go look at; he desperately needs a new shop.

Had to call MetLife Insurance to find out why our ID Home Insurance was increasing over $100. The agent explained that it was because of so many natural disasters all over that Insurance was going up. Great. We get to pay for shit California to burn. And Midwest to Flood.

Then we drove down to the shop to pick up his Sawz-All. He has to cut down the old pole up on the Mesa.

Stopped to talk with Lupe.

Then we had to go over to Sears as I had printed out the patio set to see if they had it there. I waited in the truck while hubby went inside. He said that he ordered the patio set and it will be here in a week; he also picked up new Sawz-All blades and they are cheaper there at the Sears Hometown Store than at the Ace Hardware!

We drove back home.

Packed up the dogs.

Hubby called John, the carpenter Pantry door guy to come fix it; but he said that we need to call Darryl to get him over here to fix it.

I had given Tater a Antiemetic so that he could ride in the truck and not vomit.

We got collars on the dogs and put them in the Dually. Drove to St. George. Tater sat on my lap, to begin with but soon settled in the back seat. Both dogs took a nap until we got there.

At the Vet's, we were early, so we walked them around.

Lots of people going into the Vet; several people without leashes for their dogs. By the time we finally entered, I had to register & fill in paperwork for Wilson. Some older couple did not have their dog on a leash, even tho there were signs EVERYWHERE. God damn People! Fucking follow the rules.

We finally got in the room after weighing the dogs. Tater weights 41 pounds; Wilson is a porkchop 21 pounds. Wilson needs to lose weight!

We waited until 3:15 for the Vet to visit. The assistant came in first and took info. Then went to get the Vaccines; it took another 15 minutes. She brought back Robert in his kennel. He was groggy.

Wilson weighs 21 pounds. He is a pork chop!
Robert weighs 10 pounds.
Tater weighs 44 pounds.

Dogs got their vaccines. Tater got microchipped WAY BEHIND HIS NECK, ON THE MIDDLE OF HIS BACK. Weird spot to put it. It bled quite a lot! Asshole Vet did not know what he was doing!

So we finally got done. I paid while hubby took Tater & Robert out to the truck. He put out more water for the dog.

I paid and took Wilson out to the truck.

We drove to Bluff Street. On the way, the lights were completely out at one intersection and blinking red at another intersection but the people in cars were going NUTS. It took us 10 minutes to get thru one intersection because people FREAK OUT at a 4-way Stop. OMG.

Finally got to Roxberry and got smoothies. The girl made them wrong and put orange in them instead of Banana/Strawberry. They tasted awful.

We went over to Panda Express. Hubby went inside while I waited with the dogs. He brought out water. Then had to potty and order. It took FOREVER because there were so many people there. Finally brought the food out and we had to move because nasty little kids were climbing all over everything and bothering the dogs. Some family came out and had to sit RIGHT NEXT TO OUR TABLE, even tho there were 5 other tables there! The dogs freaked out, so we moved.

Food was not very good this time. Disappointing.

We got finished and walked dogs for potty.

At the truck, while loading dogs, we noticed that Robert had peed on himself and his stuffed animal. I had brought water, so we rinsed him off and rinsed off the kennel.

But the cat still REEKED! Ugh.

Hubby put the kennel in the back of the pickup. It stank in the pickup. Gross. I put Clorox Wipes in the air vents. It helped a little.

We drove the back way home, Old Highway 91. VERY bumpy. Not a nice road.

Finally got home and Robert was coming out of the anesthesia. We got him in the sink and bathed him with Dawn dishwashing detergent. It helped a little. Not much.

Put the dogs outside so they could potty and get water.

Hubby rinsed out the kennel outside.

I picked up dog poo.

We finally settled down on the sofa.

I was SO tired.

We watched a stupid Netflix Show - Dead In A Week.

I went to bed at 8PM.
