SUNDAY / CIRQUE DU SOLEIL / BLOWOUT ON INTERSTATE

SUNDAY

CIRQUE DU SOLEIL

Up at 6:30AM when the landscaper started blowing next door at our new neighbors. Sounded like it was inside our house.

He kept blowing around neighborhood for 2 hours. Mind numbing. I finally made Hubby go outside because he was blowing dust on our truck & Garry's truck.

G&D put in new ground lighting that looks like a damn airport. The lights on their palm tree are directed at our neighborhood. Then D was out there telling the guy that she needs MORE lighting?

I picked up dog poo. I put out birdseed. I put out fresh water for the bird bath.

We watched stupid shows on TV until 2PM. Automotive Shows, MacGyver, Quantum Leap, Mission Impossible.

Then I changed clothes. Put on makeup. We left at 3PM.

Put the dogs into the car. Drove to Las Vegas in the Expedition. Hubby thought it would be easier to park the car in downtown Vegas.

On the interstate, we encounter lots of shredded semi-truck tires. Hubby thinks he ran over a bit of it as the tire pressure gauge on the car showed low tire pressure. But this has happened before and we thought it was the extreme heat.

Stopped to potty dogs just out of Moapa alongside the road.

Dropped the dogs off at Hot Diggity Dog Daycare. Then we drove downtown and parked at the Treasure Island parking ramp. Lots of stupid people going the wrong way in the ramp. We got a real easy parking spot in a Handicapped zone. Walked across on the Pedestrian Bridge.

Had to find potty right away. Walked all the way to the front of the building; got directions from a nice gentleman at a maintenance area.

Then we walked around to find someplace to wait as we were over 1 hour early.

Ate nachos at the Seafood Shack. Got some AWFUL tasting Mojito. Mint, Raspberries, Citrus. LOTS of citrus. Yuck.

NACHOS AT SEAFOOD SHACK IN TREASURE ISLAND

Noticed an overly made-up, overly plastic surgery woman sit next to us with a young man (was she a call-girl?)

We finished and Hubby had to hit the potty again.I used the potty then waited outside.

We walked down to the entrance for the Cirque du Soleil show. Gave them our tickets. By-passed the "photo" line.

Babies fussing on the loud speakers when we got into the theatre. We had to listen to that for over 40 minutes. I will complain.

Some entertainer guy was keeping the audience laughing by dumping buckets of popcorn everywhere and rubbing up on things? It was highly odd.

Then the showed started at 7PM. It was left-over costumes from different shows with a lot of tumbling, gymnastics. Not Cirque du Soleil worthy. About 3 acts that soared on trapezes overhead and bungee cords from the ceiling. Not a lot of special effects. Slightly boring?

At 8:30PM, the show was done and we left. Got the car and drove to Pinkbox Doughnuts (we saw it on TV the other day with National Donut day) Purchased a 13-pack of donuts. They were actually good. Hubby got some weird milk in a strange container. Could not drink very well out of it.

Drove to Wendy's next to Doggy Daycare and got hamburgers for the dogs.

Picked up the dogs. I put donuts in the truck of car.

Doggy Daycare said Tater barked the whole time he was there. Wilson was whining when we picked him up.

We gave the dogs hamburgers & water. Then we started to drive home. The GPS gave us wrong directions, but we got turned around OK.

11 miles from Mesquite, at 75mph when Hubby was passing a semi-truck, we had the left rear tire blow out. Hubby handled it quite well. No accident. No roll overs. Got the car pulled over to the side of the road.

BLOWN TIRE

Called AAA. Hubby could not find his card at first and I had to dig thru his billfold to find it. Called AAA back and got an Indian speaking (could not understand a word!!!) woman. She said she called a service out of Overton for us. After 2 hours of waiting, Hubby called Casey and he got out of bed for us. Went to get the truck on his motorcycle. Stopped at the house to get the 2nd keys in the drawer, then hooked up the trailer from Jose's yard. Came to pick us up at Milemarker 109. He got there in about 20 minutes.

By 2PM, we pulled into the house. Just left the truck & trailer with Expedition on trailer in the front of the house. Fuck the HOA. Casey rode home on his motorcycle.

We both took Marijuana gummies to sleep.

We watched some TV (Lucky Number Slevin) and went to bed.
