RETURN SPOKANE

thursday
february 8 2018

Up at 7AM.

Went to breakfast at the Virgin River Casino; both of us had Deuces breakfast. We were unable to finish the whole thing, so we took our food to-go.

Walked back to the room and packed up our stuff.

Put bags in the car, drove around looking at shops to rent for hubby.

Property

Drove to the property for one last picture.

We drove past the Casino on the south side of town and saw ducks, geese. They were hanging out at the water attraction in front. So we stopped and fed them our breakfast leftovers. Pancakes & hashbrowns.

Drove to Bunkerville, Overton, Moapa looking for buildings for rent/sale. Zombie towns too far away from everything.

We then drove into Las Vegas at the Motor Speedway and hubby talked to a guy there about renting buildings.

Had to Stop for donuts at Dunkin Donuts. Saved them to eat later.

Stopped at a BBQ place that hubby had eaten at the last time he was down in Las Vegas with Dave 2.0. It was OK, not great food. Hubby had a side of creamed corn that tasted like it came from 94th Aero Squadron. I had a side of sweet potatoes.

Continued thru town, and dropped off rental car at 5PM on Sahara.

Got UBER. Jason was dumb and could not find us. Address given was wrong on the APP. I texted him to advise where to find us, even called him and his phone was static.

Hubby finally talked to him and he drove down the block to find us.

Would not get out of his car to help us put suitcases in the trunk like the previous drivers had done. He drove us to airport. Talked about himself the whole time. Blah Blah Blah.

We had TSA Pre-Check on our Tickets. So we got thru pretty fast. No taking off shoes, No submitting liquids, No screening of anything. We just walked thru the scanner. Put our stuff in dog food bowls because they did not have plastic boxes anywhere.

Waited at Airport for 3 hours C-21 Concourse. Hubby walked down to get gross tasting Starbucks latte at the end of the aisle because he had to find the restroom.

We had Early Boarding because the ticket agent saw hubby's prosthetic boot. However, the bitchy crew staff told hubby that he could not sit in the Emergency Sections even though he had done it on past flights. The whole crew were rude, snippy, and enjoyed creating tension.

Ended sitting up in the very front row for him to stretch his leg out. I had the window, hubby had the middle. Some guy sat on the outside at first, but moved because the plane was only 1/3 full. NOBODY wants to fly to Spokane. LOL.

Cruising Altitude

Long, long, boring flight. Nothing to look at in the dark. The airplane engines sounded loud and awful like an old car on its last legs.

Finally got to the airport fighting a head wind. Lots of bumps. Deplaned at 11:15.

Took forever to wait for the Shuttle Bus to take us and 5 other people to Long Term Parking.

We only had to pay $12 for our 3 days of parking.

Drove to Wendy's on Barker Road to pick up dog food. Drove Trent/Hwy 41 home.

It was very cold.

DOGS WERE OVERJOYED TO SEE US.

We turned up the heat. Gave tuna to the cats. Rattler was missing, so we were very concerned that he might have been eaten. Called outside for him; but he did not come. We were so exhausted that we had to sleep.
