SNOW! AND HUBBY'S ORTHO SURGEON APPT

FRIDAY
12-15-2017

I did not sleep all night. I got up at 2AM and took a hot bath, surfed the web, sat on the sofa.

Finally to bed at 5AM and slept 1 hour.

Up at 6AM so hubby could go to his Ortho Surgeon appointment.

We drove to Post Falls at 8:00AM in the Jeep. We were early. There was a misty haze that was spitting at us as we drove.

By 9AM, we were at Doctor Brown's office on Polston. Hubby filled out all the paperwork and finally got in to see the Dr at 10AM. There was an English speaking woman that sounded liked "Lovey" at Red Lobster. Hubby and I giggled.

Hubby got out at 10:45AM. We were hungry, so went to the renowned Breakfast Nook in CDA. By now the snow was coming down quite heavily.

Long narrow hallway which inspired ideas of claustraphobia. I don't understand how the CDA Fire Department allows this as it is not a valid exit in case of fire.

After listening to people raving about this place for years, I was not impressed.

We ate. The food was horrible. Rotten, bitter coffee. Water that tasted like CDA Sewer swill. No lemon in the waters. The wait staff was fabulous, attentive. Food was NOT very good at all.

Pancakes were heavy as lead. They were over grilled and too browned. The scrambled eggs were powder. YUCK. The bacon was next to raw.

Barely able to get to the Jeep in the 6 inch deep snow. The people had parked RIGHT ON TOP OF EACH OTHER because they could not see the lines. People lose their minds when it snows.

Driving thru red lights. One car per green turn light. People sliding cars, Pulling in front of each other... Slide offs into ditches. Cops everywhere.

Washed the Jeep at Metro Express.

Tried to shop at Safeway for a platter of cookies for the Bank girl tellers, but they had no cookies! I complained the next day to their Corp office via email. What a bunch of idiots, to have a bakery and not make Xmas cookie platters.

Then we drove over to Home Depot. Met Kelsey there in Aisle 39 while we were waiting for people to help hubby get down 3 foot 6inch wide stove pipe to repair to Blue Shop pipe. We had picked up an Cadet Space Heater because the space heater in the shop had failed.

We took KR with us to Starbucks to get lattes, stopped at Albertsons to see if they had cookie platters. Hubby bought one, but not very impressed with the cookies. Gross.

Hubby slammed into a curb and spilled the drinks while exiting Starbucks. I took over driving.

Drove KR back to her car at Home Depot.

We drove home. I took Government Way north. Then got off on the back road.

Took us 1 hour to get home.

We turned on the heat, gave ham to dogs, plugged in Xmas lights.

Hubby decided not to go to the Shop for the Xmas party at 6:30PM.

I made lattes.

We watched TV.
