Wine Class 101

WEDNESDAY
9-3-2014

It rained most of today; there were occasional blue skies sneaking thru, but then it would cloud over and pour down again.

Around 3PM, Tim came by with Achilles' body. Achilles had gotten out last night in the thunderstorm and been hit by a car on the highway. He did not survive. Poor dog.

So Tim had asked hubby if he could bury him in our yard. We said of course he could. So Tim came over and dug a grave & buried the poor dog. It was so sad.

Hubby came home at 5PM, had a quick snack and we got on the road for Spokane. It was pouring down rain when we left, so I took my umbrella. However, by the time we got to Washington border, it was no longer raining. Went to the Wine Tasting Class 101 at Total Wine in Spokane Valley. It was very informative and fun. John was our instructor. There were about 9 people in class. It was fun. We got snacks - grapes, crackers, cheese, meat slices, and tiny pumpkin tarts.

Stopped at Walmart in Post Falls on the way home to get groceries. Then stopped at Wendy's to get dog burgers. On Diagonal road on the way home, it was very foggy.

Dogs were happy to see us home.

THURSDAY
9-4-2014

Got up at 6:45 and made eggs for dogs; made egg sandwich for hubby. He took off for work after we gave huggies to the dogs.

It was cold today; cloudy.

I am making French Onion Soup from scratch today.

Hubby came home after working 2 hours OT. He had the soup and then went down to the shop to work for a while.

At 9:00, he came home. We watched You're The Worst - great show! And then went to bed.
