Long Trip to Spokane

On Monday I went tanning & red light special today at 12:15. Picked up hamburgers for dogs at McDonalds. Then came home and continued to pick up poo from winter.

It took me over 3 hours in the heat, but I finally finished. A clean back yard for the puppies!

Lots of 1 inch black ants, stink bugs, ants with wings and flies everywhere. It is truly Spring again.

When hubby came home, he ran down to the shop for a while until 6pm. Then we got in the truck with Bud & Bit to go drop off the axles at Don's. Hubby was hungry, so we stopped at fast food and got him something. And something for the dogs, too.

I talked to Lucille for a while. She is recovering from knee replacement surgery.

Big R was closed by the time we got back. So it was a long trip to Spokane and back for just the axles.

I was so tired when we got home, I fell into bed exhausted.

On Sunday the hubby & dogs had french toast & eggs for breakfast. Made lattes. Then we walked dogs in park.

Got back and put stuff out on lawn, I picked up more dog poo. Finished cleaning out water barrel & the water feature in the front yard. Found flowers that were starting to bloom

Then hubby & I went to town for Costco...got gas. Saw a nice couple there walking their two black labs.

Hubby ate lots of sample food at Costco.

Then we shopped at Walmart. Hubby got very irritated with all the dirty, stinky, meth freak, disgusting people at Walmart. It was bad.

The weather was wonderful today.

We unloaded groceries. Rested for a while. Then took puppies for another walk in the park before dark. It was fun.

Hubby picked up Beebo from KRN & Matt after work on Tuesday night. The kids are visiting Seattle to see the tulips. They are taking their bikes to do a bike ride.

After visiting Big R to purchase additional home deer food and then getting pizza at Dominos, hubby came home. The new Artisan pizza did not look good. I could not eat any because I have been sick with a tummy bug.

After dinner, hubby went down to the shop to work for an hour.

Beebo was being quite mean. He growled at me, hoarded his bone, snapped at Harriet when she walked by him, and he started a fight with Lil Bit.

On Wednesday it rained. All day off and on. It was horrible. I truly would like warmer weather with sunshine. Bud & I missed our walk. However, we had lots and lots and lots of deer visit us today.

Beebo was so excited to see the deer in the yard. He barked a lot. I am feeling a little better. But really tired. Need to start walking again.

After stopping to get groceries at Super 1 in Rathdrum, hubby came home. He worked in the shop until midnight late.

SATURDAY - April 14 Dropped off a finished Tin Man to the girls at the Bakery. They were excited. Said I should sell them.

SUNDAY - April 15  It was cold & windy when we got up today. I made french toast for hubby & Dogs. Also made lattes for us. Then we drove to Post Falls to meet kids at Fox Trailers so KRN could start design on her Espresso concession trailer.

After we spent two hours there, we took Bud, Lil Bit & Bravo over to Cabelas to walk them. Then went into Cabelas so kids could find rain coats. KRN suggested eating at Greek restaurant The White House in Post Falls. After eating, we walked the dogs again. Then said goodbyes and went home. Picked up Wendy's cheeseburgers so dogs could have snacks.

Really tired when we got home. Made lattes. Rested for a while and watched Titanic documentary. We decided to take dogs to park for walk before dark. Long walk. Saw LOTS and LOTS of deer.

Hubby drove us down to the marina in Bayview to talk with Gary. Picked up milk at Lil Town Market on way home.

Went to bed late around midnight after watching movie.

MONDAY - April 16 Picked up 5 more bags of poo in the backyard. This is going to be a LONG project. Got all my potted plants out from the basement and have been watering them.

Cleaned up the dog water barrel in the backyard. Washed it down with vinegar/orange solution and am now soaking it with bleach. Then will put fresh water thru it for a couple days. The smell that came from that barrel when I drained it almost made me barf. Smelled like death.

Lots of deer in yard. 

It was cold & then rained today. No walk for me & Bud. Boo Hoo. Dogs stayed inside all day. They hate the rain.

Nails & Shopping

Walked Bud for 4 miles in the morning. Then picked up dog poo in the back yard.

Got my nails done in Rathdrum at 2:30. Picked up groceries at Super 1 afterwards. Purchased cheeseburgers for the dogs at McDonalds. Went home and rested until hubby came home.

Angus & Walk

Angus did NOT like walking with me today. Bud was mad that I left him at home and took Angus instead.

I had to pull Angus the last 1/2 mile of the walk. She is just not up to walking too far. For such a big dog, she is such a baby!

When hubby came home tonight, we returned the trailer to hippie Mike's. Took Bud, Harriet & Isabelle with us in the Dodge.

Stopped at Miller's to pick up some apples & milk.

Saturday Spokane & Sunday Tin Man

We got up early Saturday morning April 7 and packed up the boy dogs! Drove over to Spokane after I made lattes. Went to WalMart in Post Falls by Stateline to pick up candy for Matt's Texas Longhorn bag that I purchased on Groupon. Filled it with Reese's Pieces that he loves.

Also got some groceries for home & goods for shop.

Then on to URM where we picked up more Davinci syrups.

North then to Don's house where we picked up the axle that he had waiting for us. Don said that Lucille was rehabing for her knee surgery and he was heading off to 4th of July Pass to go snowmobiling! What a nut. This guy is over 90 years old/young! We are ever amazed at him.

Met kids at Harbor Freight. Shopped and talked to them in parking lot as we walked Bud & Bit.

Then everybody decided that Olive Garden all-you-can eat breadsticks, soup & salad sounded good. So we all drove up there. Talked more.

Left about 2:30 to head home the north way. Picked up cheeseburgers for dogs at Wendy's. Took just as much time to get home. Got home at 3:30. Fed burgers to dogs. Hubby then had to go to pick up parts in Post Falls. He left and got home by 7:00.

I cleaned up house & put everything away while he was gone. Also, I had a HERD of deer come thru to eat. They ate up all the apples I had put out and ALL the deer food. There were 12 deer that ambled thru our property! On Friday night, we had 5 deer come thru to visit us. They must be telling their friends about us. LOL.

On Sunday, April 8 we made lattes. Cooked french toast for the dogs.

Then started to get loaded for walk. But loading dogs in truck & rear-end had leaked 90wt in the back of pickup. Hubby upset as he had forgotten about it in the back. Had to wash Bud & Harriet. Hubby went down to shop for 1 hour & 45 minutes to clean out back of pick up bed. I also dyed hardboiled eggs pink for Easter.

Then we reloaded everybody in front of truck & walked in park for quite a while. Beautiful 60 degree weather with sunshine!

Came home & made hamburgers on the grille. I had already put the chairs & cushions out on the deck. Also got all my plants out from in the basement so they could get sunshine! My Lily actually survived winter in the basement.

Hubby took a nap in the sunshine on the deck with the dogs. I laid down with him for a while.

Then we fixed up the tin man prototype. Will have to make 3 more (for friends).

National Dog Walking Day

So we celebrated National Dog Walking Day Tuesday April 3 by taking all the puppies to the park and walking. And walking. And walking. It was so beautiful yesterday. The sun was shining and the temperature hit a high of 62.

By the time we walked the dogs at 5:15, it was already dipping into the 50s. Still warm with the sun shining on us. The dogs slept VERY well last night.

I worked on uploading the QuickBooks program on Monday then worked on it all day Monday & Tuesday. Kept having to call KRN to find out where to add figures. Hopefully it will all be updated soon. Then much easier to figure out the accounting for the business.

Cabin Fever Run & Keratin Treatment

March 31 early Saturday morning, hubby took off to pick up Tim with the Dually & Tim's Bronco loaded on trailer. They attended the Cabin Fever Run in Pinehurst sponsored by the North Idaho Trail Blazers 4x4 Club.

He was gone all Saturday and I occupied myself by walking the dogs in the park. Then got a latte. Came home & relaxed the day away. Hubby had a great time but had to pick up some parts at the Federated Auto Parts in Pinehurst because Tim broke something on his Bronco. They repaired it and returned to the trail runs. At 6:00PM that evening, they were treated to dinner. Hubby won many gifts because he purchased almost $40 in raffle tickets! LOL.

April 1 early Sunday morning, we got lattes and drove to Spokane with Bud & Bit. KRN and I scheduled appointments starting at 10AM to get Keratin treatments on our hair at Roots Salon & Spa with Dominic that we had purchased through Groupon.

I packed a snack bag to make sure we had food through the time. Michelle took me downstairs for a facial & massage while Dominic our stylist started working on KRN's hair. She has so MUCH hair that he decided to do her first to get her out of the way!

The shop's credit card machine was not functioning, so I had to write checks for everything! We were both very much pleased with the results of our hair conditioning. You cannot believe how much softer it is.

KRN's recent haircut looks much better and for her it will reduce the amount of time she takes with her hair for shampoo & drying.

Dominic did not add as much Keratin to my treatment because I really would like my curls if they were more manageable & softer. I can always have him add more to the treatment next time if I don't like what I have after I wash it.

More Intestinal Pain

Was doing pretty good yesterday Tuesday. Got taxes finished up. Was cleaning up around house. Then around 2:00PM, had to take a hot bath because I had cold shivers.

Dragged myself upstairs to bed and called hubby. Told him to come home and take me to hospital. He rushed home with work truck while I was in a delirium of pain.

He had made an appointment for me at local doctor instead. I assume he did not want to pay any more expensive hospital bills! LOL.

When we arrived at the doctor, said that I had infection? I dunno. Anyway, got more antibiotics to combat problem... Now I am SCARED to eat anything else. I have been on a healthy diet & still get pain. Bad bad bad.

Got burgers at McDonalds for dogs. Then a latte for hubby. Came home and I went back to bed while hubby ran into Hayden to look at a truck for repair. When he came back, he stopped at shop to talk with Hippie Mike for a while. I reminded hubby to give Mike his Xmas present (finally)! And to come home to babysit me while I was still ill.

Wednesday. Am still ill and tired. How do you go from feeling great & doing 15 miles per day on an elliptical to barely dragging yourself out of bed?

Took pills with water. Ate a little bit of bread & an apple. Tired. So tired.

Taxes

Worked all day on filing our taxes. I did not get a chance to exercise and that sucks. It makes me feel awful now. And I did not drink enough today. Too many times to the potty & I don't get anything done!

Hubby felt even worse today, but went in to work anyway. I had to drive him because he is ON CALL this week. He drove home the work truck.

I stopped to get a latte for him and new girl Kathy was working. She is slightly dumb. This is the one that lied and said she had car problems last Friday and never opened.

Anyway, hubby took in to work the pies that I made last week. He said everybody texted him saying "thank you".

Took pie over to Vera & Dave. Vera's teeth are still hurting and Dave was limping around because his back is hurting him. Poor worn out friends!

It alternatively rained, sleeted, and snowed again today. The weather is very odd lately. I had to go out and shovel 1" of snow off both decks again. Poo.

Beautiful Day Sunday!

Beautiful sunny day. Hubby was sick with sore throat & ickyness but we managed to visit the park with the dogs for a quick walk around 1:00. Sunny & 52 degrees outside when we went.

Parts & Apple Pie

Monday night we packed up ALL the dogs into the Dually and drove to Cheney to drop off a truck. Then Bud & Angus needed a walk, so we started off for KRN's home. But we only got part way there. Hubby came and picked up us. Thank goodness. Because it was cold. Very cold & windy.

KRN & Matt along with Beebo were happy to see us. We stayed for quite a while. Until 8:30 when they go to bed. Tried out their new bed.

Then we left. Stopped at McDonalds for burgers. They got our order wrong, but I went in and they very nicely fixed it. Instead of plain cheeseburgers for dogs, all the burgers had pickes & onions & ketchup & mustard on them.

Drove home. Dogs happy to be home.

Tuesday after work, hubby had to go get parts in Newport. Took Bud & Bit with us in FMF. We were extremely cold again and needed hot drinks. All the latte places were closed so we were forced to get lattes at McDonalds (along with cheeseburgers for dogs). Ick. Horrible. Gross. Never again.

On the way home, we stopped for groceries (milk) at Spirit Lake Millers. Saw huge dog bones in the freezer but hubby would not let me get them. He said dogs would fight over them! Maybe ask for a special one that big for Beebo for Easter gift.

On Wednesday, I made two apple pies for hubby. They were perfect he said! He came home after working late and then went to work in shop until midnight. I went to bed at 10:00, but Lil Bit kept barking at snow.

Snowed all night Wednesday and Thursday. Got about 8 HEAVY inches from 9:00 Wed night to 11:00 Thurs morning. I HATE SNOW.

All morning on Thursday I shoveled snow. And shoveled snow. And shoveled more snow.

Day Off

Hubby took a day off Saturday from the shop to be with me. And the dogs.

We got up early to let the dogs out, then hubby fell asleep on the couch til 10:00am. He had already made eggs for breakfast and I made french toast for the dogs. Then we shoveled snow off the decks, loaded everybody up and went to get lattes. Also stopped at the bakery to get hubby's mini cherry pie. He was hungry again, so he got the biscuits & gravy to eat for later. 

Drove to Farragut Park and took a LONG 3 mile walk. It took us over an hour. Started to rain when we finished with our walk.

Then home for naps with the puppies. We wore them out.


Ordered pizza from Spirit Lake and drove over there at 5:15pm to pick it up. Also got milk & OJ at the store.

Was a nice relaxing casual day together.

On Sunday we got up and had a casual breakfast. Then went to get lattes from Heather. On to a walk at Farragut again. We started out late and ran into a family with kids. Hubby had to go get the truck so Harriet could avoid "eating" the little kids.

We loaded Bud & Bit into the FMF and went into town to shop. Then back home with cheeseburgers for the dogs & to rest for the night.

Marathon

Was raining and cold today. Lots of flood warnings. So I went down to get a latte from Jen-Bunny and pick up a gallon of milk. Took Bud & Bit with me. Bit did not see any of his dog friends in town because it was raining out.

I exercised 26 miles on my elliptical today!

Hubby worked in shop tonight.

Puyallup & Costco Run

Saturday Mar 10 & Sunday Mar 11, I spent at home by myself with the dogs. Hubby went to Puyallup, WA early Saturday morning at 4AM to the Annual 4x4 Auto Swap Meet. Dogs let me sleep until 7:00. Yippee.

I exercised 21 miles on Saturday & 20 miles on Sunday. Went to get a latte from Heather on Saturday morning.

Hubby did not make it home until early Monday Mar 12 morning at 5:30 as he & Kevin R had to take a detour due to Snoqualmie Pass being closed. He did not even have time to go to bed for any amount of time. I was exhausted as he had texted me almost every hour with the name of the town that they had just passed so I would not worry. On Monday I was horribly exhausted. Could not think...could not go back to bed.

When hubby came home Monday night, we both went to bed early. Tired. Tired. Tired.

Hubby got his bonus TPA on Tuesday. Paid some hospital bills. Whoopie.

Had to reschedule my nail appointment that I had on Tuesday Mar 13 due to diarrhea. Stomach problems from not sleeping enough. Met hubby in town at Costco around 4:00 to do our shopping. Then stopped at Petco to pick up a couple snails for the goldfish tank.

After getting cheeseburgers at Wendy's, Bud & Bit & I came home. Hubby was right behind us in his truck. He unloaded stuff & went down to the shop to meet "Chad is Bad" for a while.

On Sunday after getting lattes from Heather at the espresso stand, we took the dogs for their walk in the park. They loved it. The weather was fairly nice; almost 50 degrees warm with sunshine. There was a little breeze as we briskly walked in the wild area. The dogs love it there.

Then we dropped off some of the dogs. Hubby took this time to trim his hair & beard. I had to clean his ears out. About 12:30 we took Bud & Bit with us to Sandpoint for shopping. Hubby wanted to go to Big R where we spent over an hour just browsing. Got new dog food. Bud loved getting huggies and attention from all the people there at the store.

Went to Super 1 to pick up apples and hamburger, then came home & unpacked everything. Hubby got busy making 4 different kinds of meatloaf.

Spokane or Bust!

So Bud, Bit and I ventured out into the blizzard Wednesday morning Leap Day to get a latte from town. I was severely cold after shoveling 7 inches of snow off the decks!

Not too many vehicles on the road at 7:00 in the morning, missed seeing hubby as he had left too early.

We got back and I exercised.

Did laundry.

Then hubby texted & told me that we had to go get a vehicle in Spokane. Needed to be ready at 5:00, dogs were going to go with us in the Dually. Hauled trailer behind us. But hubby had a slow time coming home. Finally left at 6:30. Got lattes on the way, as hubby had not eaten & he was cold. Then met people at Safeway in N Spokane at 7:15 (hubby had forgotten his phone and did not have the guy's phone number!).

Chatted with the people for quite a while. The nice lady had two cute little Dachshunds.

Then we left & hubby stopped to have a burrito at Go Go Burrito. Food was BETTER than Taco Del Mar's burritos. Very fresh food even at 9:00 at night!

Drove home in another developing blizzard once we hit Idaho. 3 more inches of snow had fallen while we were gone. Hubby plowed drive while I shoveled decks. Hit the bed at 11:30.

Super Fast

Lots of exercising on the elliptical.

One mile in under 7minutes 18seconds! At full resistance on the elliptical setting.

Snowed over 8 inches starting early this morning. Shoveled decks and it took me over an hour to get them cleaned off. Wind is starting up now.

Hubby took my chocolate chip cookies into work with him yesterday. Said everybody loved them.

Black Kitty went back to the shop last night. He was in much better spirits. The house does not smell like cat & cat litter now.

Snow Snow & Sleet

It snowed and snowed and snowed this week/weekend. We got over 12 inches of snow.

Took the dogs for a walk in the park on Sunday. They had lots of fun. Wild dog walk as there was nobody else that ventured out into the weather!

I made chocolate chip cookies on Monday for hubby's work friends. He said Dave R came and kept him company in the shop on Monday night.

FOUND - Schipperke

Snowed quite a bit on Sunday night/Monday morning. Had about another 3 inches of snow on ground.

On his way home from work Monday night, Hubby found a Schipperke on the road wandering around. He thought it was our own Lil Bit at first, but then got closer to him & discovered that the dog had bug eyes. Hubby brought it home and we fed him. He was a nasty mean little dog that bit! Hubby has one finger that is bleeding & infected. I immediately put a FOUND dog advertisement on Craigslist, but nobody called.

I took the dog into our Vet early on Tuesday morning to scan for a microchip. Alas, no microchip. But the vet did go through his list of clients & found a woman that was missing her dog. If it indeed belonged to her, the dog had traveled about 8 miles from its home! I left the dog at the vet with our smallest kennel.

Went to get my nails done at 12:00 today. Took Bud & Lil Bit with me. Afterwards got burgers at McDonalds. Then stopped at grocery store for a kitty pooper scooper.

Barely got home in time to run Black Kat into the Vet for his shots & Feline Leukemia test. Also ran into an associate that I used to work with at the Verizon NOMC; Leslie D. She had taken her dog into vet to test it for Aspergers.

Got home in time to make dinner for hubby.

Kids came to pick up Beebo. Heather dropped off KRN. Matt arrived shortly afterwards.

We had gotten 6 inches of snow overnight, so hubby and I had to clean that off the decks before we were able to go get him a latte in A-town.

Hubby plowed driveway. Brought Black kitty up from shop and put him in basement bathroom. We think he is sickly as he is skin & bones; also has a little infection in his eye. Neither he nor Grey kitty were friendly enough to get close to so that we could get them into the vet. They have finally come out of their shells enough that we could capture them & get them in the car. Cleaned Black kitty up with a wet towel and cut away the matted hair. Then I brushed him for over an hour. I will get him an appointment at the Vet's this week. Then we will have to do the same with Grey kitty. They both need shots.

Beebo Babysitting

Babysitting Beebo today. Matt brought him over about 4:30. Poor little guy has lots of antibiotics & cough medicine. Eyedrops, too.

Winter storm moved into the area. Went down to get hubby from shop at 7:00. Already 2 inches on ground by then.

Angus decided she was going to eat her food too fast (again) and threw up in several areas. I removed food from the dog bowls. They only get water tonight!

Great Dog

I love that song from the Westminster Kennel Show commercial Purina. GREAT. All my dogs are GREAT dogs.

Had to run Lil Bit into the vet on Thursday. He has been honking. All day Wednesday and into that night. By Thursday morning he was not better. Dr Mike said it was NOT kennel cough. KRN took Beebo into the vet also and her vet indicated that the poor dog was exposed to an Upper Respiratory infection. Probably from Archer, KRN's temporary dog. Dr Mike prescribed antibiotics and cough meds.

Bit improved a little, but by night he was honking again. Poor little guy. Talked to the vet and he said give him double the prescription.

Harriet started bleeding on her toe late in the afternoon so I had to bandage it up. She did not like that!

I am doing one mile in less than 8 minutes on the elliptical at full strength resistance. It seems like it should get easier if I am building muscle, but it is just as difficult as it was at the beginning when I first started exercising. Still on eating Rehab. No SUGAR. No PROCESSED FOOD. No CAFFEINE. My body feels better. Along with the melatonin, I am sleeping much better.

WEEKEND & VALENTINE'S

Hubby whined about going in to CDA on Saturday night for shopping. So we stayed home & went to bed early.

Sunday morning February 12 we got up extra early. Got everything packed & went to Albertson's grocery to pick up balloon, cheesecake, chocolates & gifts for KRN. Drove to Spokane to Edible Arrangements and picked up gift at 9:30. Walked Bud & Bit underneath the overpass where the bums congregate.

Got to KRN's at 10:00. Beebo was happy to see us. KRN opened her presents. Kids wanted to go out to eat for lunch at Outback. We left dogs at their house & drove in their Jeep to Northtown Outback. Was real good food, I got lobster & filet.

Drove past the espresso stand that KRN is thinking about buying. Needs lot of updates to it.

Then back to their place to talk for a while. Hubby and I left at 3:30 to return home. Hubby showed me the house in Post Falls by the water, we walked the dogs again, got burgers at Wendy's on the way home.

Dogs at home were overyjoyed to see us. House was cold. About 56 degrees. We had left door open so they could go out to potty.

On Monday February 13 morning I had to run to Spirit Lake to pick up baking supplies for cupcakes. Made cupcakes & frosting all day long.

Squirrelly made a visit to the dogs, he ate the apple pieces I put out for him.

Hubby had me go with him and we took all the dogs to pick up a truck on the trailer from Post Falls. The dogs were happy to ride in the Dually. Lots of room for them. We got back about 7:00 after getting more burgers for dogs at McDonalds in Rathdrum.

I frosted more cupcakes when we got home, then hubby went to shop to work. He was down there until 11:00. I was really tired by the time he got home.

TUESDAY VALENTINE'S DAY

Hubby brought home flowers. Made me dinner. Yum. Gourmet tomato soup. Garlic shrimp, Scallops, Tomato Cheese bread & pasta.

Cleaning Day & Shopping for Valentine's

Harriet got up this morning and we noticed that her back left leg was gimpy. She was limping around. Don't know what she did now...

Went to get latte for hubby & stopped at Bakery to see Gwen & Louise. Gave Gwen her belated birthday card and gave Louise a small Valentine's heart with candy.

Getting ready for Valentine's Day. Cleaned the house today including vacuuming, dusting & mopping floors. Dogs were not happy. They ran outside to get away from vacuum cleaner.

Need to go into CDA tonight to pick up Valentine's day gifts.

Luncheon Date

I got my nails done on Wednesday, February 8 at 3:30. Just a new nail polish (deep red) and took all the stuff off my toes. Met hubby after work so that we could go to Costco. Got a huge Moose for Valentine's Day.

After shopping, we went to Wing Stop so hubby could get hot wings for dinner. Then I shopped at Rite Aid really quickly. Stopped at WalMart really quickly so that I could go in for apples, but they only had small ones.

My personal online trainer wants me to lose 6 pounds in the next 2 weeks. I am already at 1100 calories on the elliptical everyday. Plus, I can do a 8 minute mile at the highest resistance setting. But need to work harder.

Harriet went to the Vet at Noon on Thursday, February 9. She had a slight ear infection in one year. But she has gained 3 pounds from the last time she visited! All that egg nog and heavy whipping cream are really helping to add weight. No more boney dog. She weighs 53.6 pounds now. Dr Mike said that he would like to see her go no more than 55 pounds as an ideal weight.

Deralee was not at the espresso stand so I did not get a chance to talk to her when I drove by the place.

After I dropped Harriet off at home, I drove down to Post Falls to Willie's BBQ to meet hubby for lunch. He had chicken bbq special while I had coffee, tea and corn on the cob. Yum.

Then we drove to Rathdrum so that I could go grocery shopping at Super One. Got apples, tea. Forgot heavy whipping cream for Harriet. Dumb.

Purchased cheeseburgers at McDonalds for dogs. There was a long line at 2:30 in the afternoon. Then home to dogs. They loved their burgers.

Hubby got home late about 6:00. Took Melatonin and slept really good!

Friday February 10 was just another day for me. Exercising on elliptical, I noticed that there was blood all over the floor. When I went to clean it up, Harriet came limping up to me. She was holding up her paw & blood was dripping from it. Called vet and rushed her into town. The poor dog had torn her toenail all the way off. He patched her up and I returned home.

Super Bowl Sunday

Sunday February 5 Walked the dogs at wild dog walk up by the river. Of course, hubby said that NOBODY would be driving down there to bother us because they had not plowed out the roads. But somebody DID come down and sit in their car. OMG. Never any privacy anywhere. So thankfully Harriet did not see them & tear their throats out! Tied up all the dogs on leashes and went back to the truck.

Drove up to Sandpoint & got groceries at WalMart then to Arby's for burgers for the dogs. Then home. Unpacked groceries, ate lunch & watched PPV movie on TV - Real Steel. Real boring.

New Month

Still losing weight. Still exercising. Not much changes. Had a couple days of severe snow followed by a melting. Our driveway was a total ice skating block! Hubby's friend came by with sand to spread on it, but it did not make it much better.

Last Sunday January 29 Isabelle had slipped on the ice when she was down at the shop so we thought it better not to walk the dogs in the park. Hubby took a few xmas items to the basement to put away, made burritos, then slept for the rest of the day.


February 2 the Groundhog saw his shadow - SIX more weeks of winter. Boo.

Friday February 4 KRN came over to drop off Bravo so I could babysit while she went and got her haircut then went to a movie with her friend Heather in Sandpoint. Her hair looked real nice by the time she got back here late to pick up Beebo.

Matt & KRN returned on Saturday February 5 to show us New Dog. New dog was super stinky & needed a bath in our tub. They picked up a Schipperke cross as a companion for Beebo. "Archer" is lanky & skinny. Not too sure if Beebo likes him yet. Brought Lil Bit inside to let him play with new dog. Bit seemed to like him after they tore around the house for a while.

25 Pounds!

Yippee!!!!! I have lost 25 pounds since the first of the year. Only a few more to go...

Snow had fallen off the roof during the night. It was also raining in the early morning. So hubby went out and shoveled the over 2 feet of snow that landed on the side deck.

We took the dogs for a walk in the park. Only about 2 feet of snow there. The park only plowed the horse area, so we got them out there (Harry had accidentally pooped in the back of the pickup!) and walked around in the plowed area. Bud's "D" hook broke and he almost ran out. He is such a good boy and listened to me to come back!

Then we came home and I purchased tickets to NICKELBACK for June 14!!!!! Yippee.

SNOWMAGEDDON

Monday Tuesday Wednesday - Continue with my eating rehab. Finally lost another 3 pounds on Wednesday after resorting to Juice only all day long.

It started snowing on Monday night. By Wednesday, flakes were becoming bigger & weather authorities said we should be expecting a big Blizzard! National news channels are calling it SNOWMAGEDDON~!

Woodpecker is still beating at the side of the house. No way to permanently scare him! I have to keep going out every 5 minutes to beat on the house. He leaves by 2pm, thank goodness! Only to return in the morning and start all over.

Got the NIC brochure. Hubby was open to taking American Sign Language classes with me. Have to register.

Reviewing Property

Sunday -
At 8:30 we loaded up Bud & Bit then drove over to KRN's house to eat biscuits & sausage gravy with kids. Hubby had biscuits & gravy, I had my healthy cottage cheese/apple/peanut butter at 10:00. Then we went over with the kids to look at the property that KRN wants to put an espresso stand on.

We then drove into Airway Heights to look at other storage units.

Afterwards, we dropped kids off at their home and drove back to our place. Hubby had to stop in Spokane Valley at Harbor Freight, then we got burgers at Wendy's in Post Falls and continued home. I really had to pee by the time we finally got to our place.

After a brief snack at home, we took all the dogs down to Farragut Park for a 26 minute dog walk.

Came home and hubby had dinner. I had snack of apple. Then watched TV.

Temporary Setback

Still incorporating my cardio and doing well on the eating rehab. But I felt tired this week again. No energy. I am still not getting the "exercise high" from anything I am doing. Feels like hard work. I figure to get to my goal, I have to lose 3 pounds per week. Not bad to do.

Friday - Hubby wanted girl from work to come over and test our Skin Carotenoid. She came over about 7:30 and stayed til 9:00 doing a sales pitch. According to the tests, hubby is Mostly Dead All Day. or MDAD! I had a little bit higher score than he did. So we bought the vitamins that she suggested. If it does not raise our score, the company will buy back the vitamins from you. I am skeptical about the claims, but hubby is on this adventure to get healthier and feel better so I am all for it. I am still eating better going into my 3rd week & taking the Udo's Oil. Waiting for the results from the Udo's oil as reviewers indicated that it worked...

Saturday - Took the tray back to the girls at the Bakery in town. Hubby got a latte. He needs to cut out sugar!

I cleaned house a little bit & then did 1000 calories for cardio.

Diet Diary

Since my last post, I have barely been able to do anything. Too extremely weak & exhausted. It had gone from bad to worse. Couldn't even stay awake past 6pm at night. I was crashing out while leaving hubby alone on the couch at night watching tv with only the dogs for company.

We took the dogs for a very long walk in the park on Sunday because I felt a little bit better in the morning. But by the time we had gone into town to get groceries at WalMart & return stuff to Costco I was again exhausted. After staggering into the house, hubby unloaded groceries while I put them away. Then I collapsed onto the couch. Went to bed early again. Ick.

On Tuesday, I was still too weak to do anything. I seriously thought about going to the doctor again to find out what is wrong.

Today, I woke up feeling much better. Maybe not 100% but significantly not exhausted as I have been feeling for the past few weeks!

It is day 11 of my diet; or I really should say eating rehabilitation! Because it is not a diet. I am eating constantly. Eating good foods. I have already lost 18 pounds. This is great. I can't imagine what I will look like by May 2012! Hopefully this year when we put the boat in the water, I will not look like a tub of lard! Maybe even a decent bathing suit.

So I tackled my cardio like a maniac and hit my target goal first thing! Yippee.

I want to incorporate C25K next week. Cross my fingers.

Tuesday - Hubby back to work again. I wish that he had been able to take another week off to care for me; still not feeling 100%. Dogs kept barking and going out all day. I was cold & hurting all day.

Hubby worked late OT. Came home around 7pm. Dogs had already been upset by somebody coming to door looking for hubby. When he got home, he sat for about 20 minutes, then went to shop to work. I was getting extremely tired (exhausted again) about 9:20 so I asked him to come home.

I crawled up to bed and slept.

Wednesday - Not feeling well last night. But doing very good on eating healthier & following new diet plan with personal trainer. Still not exercising but have lost 15 pounds on diet so far! Yippee. Can't wait to be able to have enough strength to exercise & maybe start running.

Very depressing not being able to clean house or put away Christmas decor inside. Aaaack.

Walking Dogs

Walked dogs first thing this morning after getting hubby a latte. Went to the park and walked quite a ways. I was exhausted by the time we were done. Did not think I would make it back to the truck. Collapsed by the time I crawled into the seat. Hubby then drove us down to the marina to reminisce about this past summer on the boat.

Drove home & dropped off dogs. Then took Bud & Bit with us to Sandpoint to shop at WalMart. Got all the groceries needed for healthier eating. Even have hubby talked into eating healthier! He stopped at Hardware store in town & got me FREE yardsticks! Then we drove around Dover to see what it was looking like.

After we picked up Arby roast beefs for the dogs, we got home around 2:15. Long drive. I was exhausted. Too much running around for me. Still recovering.

Hubby unloaded and I helped put stuff away. Then collapsed on recliner. Watched "Dolphin Tale" on PPV.

Went to bed early.

Friday December 30
Hubby and I headed into town to pick up baby Beebo from the kids. Met them at Costco after hubby detoured to the bank to make a deposit. Then got gasoline at Costco, hubby took me downtown to pick up some birthday chocolates from Coeur d'Alene Chocolates. (they are very bitter chocolate; burns your throat)

Then hubby was hungry so he got hot wings at Wingstop while the puppies and I waited in the car. Washed car and got white coffee granita. Babysat Beebo for the kids while they vacationed at SilverMountain for their 8th year anniversary.

Saturday December 31
Got birthday cake surprise at Bakery yesterday, December 31. Gwen, Louise, & hubby sang happy birthday to me. Chocolate/Chocolate/Cherries/Cream Cheese/Cream Cheese Frosting. Very rich!

Watched Twilight Zone marathon for New Year's. Maybe celebrate better next year!

I was tired by 7PM so went to bed. Fireworks started around 10:30 and dogs went nuts barking the rest of the night. Since I was unable to sleep, got back up and sat with hubby until 1PM.

KRN called and was upset.

They came home early on Jan 1 because of multiple injuries. KRN hurt knee; Matt hurt right shoulder & back.
 

Sunday January 1, 2012!
Kids returned this morning. KRN was tired so she slept in Isabelle's bed until 3:30. Matt rested on the couch as he had severely injured his right shoulder. They finally went home around 4:00.

Hubby and I rested around the house. Watched TV.

Hubby woke up early to make a dog step for Isabelle so she can get into bed easier. Also made snowflake for KRN. Just have to paint it now.

Then I went with him to Rathdrum to get parts, get dog cheeseburgers, make deposit at bank, pick up pizza for guys at shop, and get gas. Purchased lottery megamillions tickets. Cross my fingers we win for New Years!

Returned home where I rested for the balance of the day. Real tired at 9:30 and went to bed.

Christmas. Opened our presents. Watched Christmas shows. Vegged out. Took a nap. Depressing this year. Did not feel like doing ANYTHING!

Monday -
Kelsey came over around 10:00 with Bravo. She opened her presents. Then she was hungry. So we took her into town to eat at Las Chavelas. It was good. Afterwards she decided she had to get dog food at Costco. I got a new camera for half price! 


Then home. I was exhausted. But Matt was waiting here with his truck and we had him open his presents.

Tuesday -
You really can't believe how exhausted you can get by being sick. I am almost through with all my meds, but am tired. Going to bed at 8:00 everynight. Sleeping until about 7:00 the next day. Still not enough. Going to take a while before I feel back to normal...

Hubby forced me to go up to Bonners Ferry so that he could purchase a truck from a nice Canadian gentleman. Before we went up there, we stopped at the Bakery to say hello to Gwen & Louise. Then got hubby a latte. The lights flickered while we were at the espresso stand, but came back on.

When we returned thru Sandpoint, we stopped at Big R to get deer food. Took Bud inside with us. He got lots of hugs & scratches from people. Then stopped at Arby's to get roast beef for the puppy dogs at home.

As we came up our highway, we noticed the road was blocked.

because...a kid had t-boned his car into it this morning (that was why the lights flickered!) He was going an excessive amount of speed (the guys who were standing outside our shop estimated 70mph!) and fishtailed in the slush. So once the authorities were called, the guys towed the car onto our property temporarily. Mom and Dad came to pick up the kid who had two black eyes (probably concussion).

Happy Christmas Eve

Hubby had to drag me with him to pick up a part in Spokane. He did not want to leave me along. I am feeling somewhat better. Still a lot of pain, tho.

Thursday - Last night suffered from 4 hours of heartburn & indigestion. I am frightened to eat anything now!

So hubby forced me to go into the Dr again and I was prescribed heartburn meds. We stopped at grocery store to waste some time. Got cheeseburgers for dogs, then came home. Already 1:00! Wasted the day again.

Christmas Time

Listening to Christmas music, making stuff for Christmas on the Silhouette Cameo. Hubby briefly went down to the shop, and he is making Christmas crafts for gifts.

Still have to deliver some things, but most stuff is taken care of in time for Christmas.

There is one package that is stuck in Spokane, WA. Need to find out why.

I am feeling somewhat better, but very weak! LOL.

SICK, HOSPITAL ER

It remains pretty much a blur...

But from Thursday (Wednesday?) I awoke and experienced HORRIFIC pain in the abdomen. Hubby went to work and said that if I got worse, he would come home to take me to the doctor. He LIED. I called him at 2:00 and he didn't get home until 6:00pm.

He rushed me to the Urgent Care in CDA and the doctor advised that a normal white blood count is 4300; mine was over 13000! I had an infection. They told us to go to the ER across the street immediately. The nurse was unable to take blood; had to call for backup- PLEASE LEARN THIS IN SCHOOL, NOT ON PATIENTS!

Of course, they didn't forward any paperwork to the ER. Duh. So we still had to wait, and wait, and wait. Then got in to the ER, processed, and evaluated. I don't remember much as I was in a lot of pain. Finally got an IV from a knowledgeable nurse (whose husband happened to work in the same company as mine! LOL) with painkillers.

Then off to the CT Scan; injecting icky stuff into my veins.

Back to my room to wait the results of the scan. Doctor said DIVERTICULITIS. Lots of painkillers prescribed along with massive amounts of antibiotics. Said surgery not needed if we can control it with antibiotics.

Said to come back in a couple days (Saturday night).

I was so weak, I fell asleep for the following days...sleep; eat applesauce, take pills. Lost 10 pounds.

Woke up a little better one day and then awful horrible horrific pain and told hubby to call 9-1-1. By the time the ambulance got here (they passed our place the first time-quite lost) I had thrown up and felt better.

Went into our regular personal doctor at 2PM. He said stay away from milk products; which I had eaten cottage cheese. Now I am Lactose Intolerant! Ick. Do you KNOW how many foods have whey or milk in them?

Thursday - After suffering all day, hubby took me to Urgent Care. Doctor admitted me to ER. Cat Scan indicated Diverticulitis. I had severe pain in the abdomen.

Tuesday - Hubby had to get up at 3AM to answer an emergency on-call. Phone wires down on ground in town. So I had to get up to make him a drink and breakfast.

I went back to sleep for a while, but dogs would not let me rest. They kept getting up every 30 minutes to bark at something.

So I was exhausted and drained for the balance of the day. Took Bud along with me into town for my 2:30 Dr's. appt. Stupid little out of control 1 year old in the waiting room area with grandma. The meth mother came out later and announced loudly everything that the doctor had discussed privately. Stupid people out there in this world.

After 30 minutes of filling out paperwork and another 30 minute wait, I was finally led back to the exam room. According to the doctor, there is nothing wrong with me. No reason that I should be having pain. So she was quick to prescribe pills instead of finding what is exactly wrong. I also believe she was somewhat abrupt & uncaring. Didn't pursue some of the questions that were on my file; why not spend a little longer LOOKING at me instead of her computer?

Got Wendy's cheeseburgers for dogs on the way home. Listened to Christmas music.

Dogs were happy to see me when I returned home.

Wednesday - Dogs decided to bark at everything again last night. Isabelle got up at 3am and piddled around outside for over 35 minutes. I finally had to put on a coat to go out to get her! Fell back asleep for one hour, then Bud & Harriet wanted to go out. Barely time to get up and make hubby's drink.

Took Bud to vet at 11:30 because he had a severe red rash on his belly. Then raced home to meet the delivery truck for the guys that brought our Washer/Dryer Pedestals from Home Depot.

Went into town to pick up the Dodge that hubby had locked in the yard at work. But he forgot the keys to the yard! They were still locked in the shop at home. So we walked Bud, Bit, and Harriet in a nearby field. Very cold outside. Only 26 degrees. Brrrr.

Drove back home and left Bit & Harriet at home while we went into town Xmas shopping. Stopped at Costco, Home Depot & Super One in Rathdrum. Then went home.

The Story Thus Far

Sunday - Drove over to K&M's to return Beebo who had stayed overnight with us while the kids went to dinner in CDA. We took Harriet, Bit & Bud with us for a change. Harriet did very well in the car.

Hubby had to pay his NAPA bill and I took over driving after that. He seemed quite upset at other drivers for some reason today, so it seemed best for me to get behind the wheel.

We briefly shopped at Big R on Trent to get more deer food, new harness for Harriet & let hubby browse. He loves his Big R! There is a new one in CDA we found when we returned home later tonight...

Got to kids' home at 12:00; helped them put up lights. Lots of strings were dead. Matt stapled thru one light string. He had to get up on the roof to put up lights. All very pretty when we were done. Hubby and I ran to WalMart for garlic bread (insane parking lot - also saw accident in parking lot) Got Starbucks lattes gross tasting. (cuz KRN refuses to get espresso machine for home) For lunch we had crock-pot Lasagne that KRN had made. Was very good.

We left not long after because it was already 3:30.

Drove to CDA for gasoline at Costco. Picked up burgers for dogs. Angus & Isabelle had done very well. Missed us.

Tuesday - Had diarrhea all night from 3AM onwards. Felt very weak. Had gone to bed early and got even worse as the day wore on. I was supposed to go to Dr. Specialist, but had to call to reschedule. Just not enough strength to drive there.

Wednesday - Went up to Sandpoint to shop at Big R. We did not get there in time; they close at 7pm. Went over to Walmart to get a few things. Stopped at Arby's for dog burgers & returned home with Bud & Isabelle. Isabelle barked at a dog in the back of a pickup during a stoplight and frightened the poor black Lab. We explained to Isabelle that she must be nice to other dogs. She didn't want to listen...

When we returned from shopping, the refrigerator had quit working. Our food was going bad. We put it out on the deck in the cold (thank goodness for winter). I had suffered endo pains, so took a hot bath & went to bed early.

Thursday - The Fred's Appliance repair man came out to the house. Thinks that the Thermostat needs replacing in the refrigerator. I called after he left to schedule. The parts won't be here until Monday night so he will be coming Tuesday morning.

I completely cleaned out the fridge (will have hubby pull it out of the wall this weekend to clean behind it) & restocked it from the food that we had put outside on the deck in coolers. It is much cleaner & has more available space. We will now be able to find things better. Hubby had 6 jars of pickled things and I was able to condense them to 3; then put them in the smaller refrigerator downstairs. Also condensed 3 ketchup bottles into 1 and 2 mustard bottles into 1!

I made Cake Truffles from a recipe on the 'Net I found. Chef in Training However, they taste AWFUL to me. I will give them away to Bruce. He likes extremely sweet things.

Harriet is filling out quite well with all the eggnog she has been drinking. I am also filling her with lots of meat & protein. She has a "solid" look to her lean body now.

This past week without #3 around, I have been having to decorate on my own. It is quite an immense chore. Put the stereo outside in order to get into the Christmas mood. Blasting Xmas tunes away while putting up new lights & taking down ones that quit working.

Friday - Lil Bit keeps barking at something outside & the other dogs have to go out to investigate. They have NOT taken their early morning, mid-morning, or morning naps yet!

It is getting sunnier & warmer all the time. Temp is up to 36.

I worked on more Christmas light balls, decorating inside of house with cloth tied garlands, made No Bake Protein balls, fed deer, worked on KRN's Advent calendar, washed dog bedding, got mail with Bud, rewrapped tomato cage light tree.
 

Lazy Last Day of Turkey Week Vacation

Hubby has to return to work tomorrow after having all week off for vacation.

Sunday - We got up and walked dogs in park. Saw a bowhunter & found out that it is perfectly legal for bowhunting deer in park Nov 1 thru Dec 31. We will not be walking there anymore. Too scared the humans or the dogs could get accidentally shot. Stupid of State Park to do this. Too many places in National Forest for the stupid hunters to go...

We then returned so that hubby could fix the fuse in the truck for the automatic windows.

It got dark very early. Skies were dismal & dark. Started raining. We dressed up, then took Bruce & Joni out to dinner at Red Lobster for Bruce's 60 Birthday. Stopped at Wendy's on the way home for burgers for the good dogs.

Returned home to watch Walking Dead.

Happy Turkey Day

After shopping all day Wednesday, I was exhausted when we got home. Hubby volunteered to make all the dishes. I got drunk on Huck wine. Went to bed early. He even made the spray bottles & yardstick stars for KRN.

THURSDAY TURKEY DAY - Spent Thanksgiving at KRN's. Loaded up everything and took all the CLEAN dogs. We arrived about 9AM.

KRN made a perfect turkey (her first!); it was delicious. Juicy and tender. We brought green bean casserole & sweet potato casserole, bacon roll ups.

Guys went to Walmart at Midnight for Black Friday sale while we stayed home with tired dogs. But they got back relatively early because all the people had already seized the deals.

BLACK FRIDAY - Nothing interesting for us to purchase on Black Friday. It was depressing. We got up late, I made lattes for everyone. Then we ate breakfast at IHOP in valley. Holiday pancakes NOT good.

Drove to our place, M& hubby got the Bronco ready & decorated to drive in the Holiday Light Parade Coeur d'Alene. They left to arrive there by 4PM. Hubby took Bud & Austin. KRN & I left later, filled her gasoline; got lattes. Then met guys at grocery store on Sherman. Walked down to parade. Watched lighting ceremony & fireworks from the parking lot of the DMV. Bud was scared and hid in the back of the pickup.

KRN & I drove home separately. We got out before the crowd.

KRN & MSN left after we got home.

SATURDAY - Hubby did not come to bed until 1:00 last night. I was extremely tired. He woke me up when he got into bed and made me grumpy. We got up late at 9AM; then went into town later to take garbage. Stopped at bakery. I decorated lights outside. Got tired & rested.

Shopping for T-Day

Dropped dogs (Bud, Angus, Isabelle) off at Apryl's for grooming at 9:30. Lil Bit & Harriet stayed home. Bit already had a bath in the sink last night. Harriet will have a bath tonight in the shower with Hubby.

We shoppped (after getting lattes in town) at WalMart, got my nails done at Walmart, Ace Hardware, (bad potty) URM, Brown Building (no doors, tho).  Safeway, Costco, Wendy's. Dropped off check at bank for hubby.

Picked dogs up at 4:30. They smelled nice. Angus was excited about leaving.

Hubby baked & cooked at home. I got drunk on wine.

Hard Cold Rain

Rained ALL day. Positive - eliminated a lot of the 3 foot of snow that we have gotten in the past 2 days; Negative - Rain exposed parts of the ground and it looks gross. Also, slushy & difficult to walk/drive in.

Hair with Jen-Bunny at stand 9:30. Came home afterwards to make light balls. Froze my fingers trying to put them up in the rain. Not feelin' the Christmas mood at all this year.

Half of the lights burnt out. Crap.

Snowy

SUNDAY - It just keeps snowing and snowing and snowing. Hubby made breakfast for himself. Then we took dogs down to the park for wild dog walk. They loved it. Lil Bit "swam" thru the deep snow. Angus took off into the woods for some fun. Harriet blasted Bud in the side several times. Isabelle played like she was a pup again!

We went home afterwards to clean house. Hubby helped a lot. I vacuumed while he put stuff up in the closet for me.

Watched TV after all was done and went to bed early.

MONDAY - Slept in until 8AM! Wow. But I had already gotten up several times since 5AM because Harriet woke up the other dogs.

Made lattes, then hubby wanted to go take the dogs for a wild dog walk. We drove down to the road by the dump, but somebody had built there! So we went back to the park again. Took the dogs in the new green dually. Hubby is in love with it.

Then came back & cleaned house again. Hubby went down to shop to work. He came home to plow around the time that the Carpet Cleaner guy was supposed to be here. I got the dogs in the garage in the pickup truck & hubby took off with the dogs.

Carpet Cleaner Jeff cleaned loft carpets, chairs in loft, 8x10 carpet in living room and dog rugs.

Harriet & Bud to Vet

THURSDAY - Harriet's infection on her lip was getting bigger & crusty. So I called to make an appointment with vet. Took her in at 5PM. She was scared as usual and I had to carry her inside.

Vet took a couple tests. Decided it was just infection (not cancerous). Prescribed antibiotics. Then looked at her weepy left eye & prescribed steroid drops. Brought Bud in to vet also to check out HIS weepy left eye. Same diagnosis. Drops for both dogs.

On the way to the vet, Harriet got some skin & hair ripped off her right side. I don't know how she did this. She is such a hyper dog.

When I realized that my old Sorels were about 15 years old, I decided it was time for new ones. Ordered new Sorels - Joan of Arctic

FRIDAY - Snowed all day. Got about 20 inches. Hubby says "we should move!" because he hates this now. But he won't make any effort to move. Where else are we going to go? Kids are here. He likes the acreage away from town. Beautiful lake for our boat. He has established business here now. Only a few more years before retirement.

Let the dogs out in the late afternoon because they were barking. I saw something dart across the back of the fence...thought it was OUTSIDE the fence, but it was inside. Whoops. They got it. It was a little white bunny. It got stuck in the fence & dogs got it. Had to sequester them inside until hubby got home to get rid of the poor thing.

 10 inches by 8:30AM.
