WEDNESDAY
JUNE 17 2026

Hubby was up at 3AM with the dogs to let them out for potty. I did not wake up, but I asked Hubby what time it was. I was relieved when I had an extra hour to sleep. Then all the dogs & Hubby got back into bed.

I was up at 4AM. I let the dogs out for potty.

We left our bedroom door open all night long, so Stuart slept on Hubby's chest and did not scratch at the door.

Then I went to get dressed. I went to the kitchen to make a hot latte for Hubby, hot tea for myself.

I put out shredded cheese and tuna for the cats. I cleaned the water bowls & filled all the water bowls with fresh water. I turned on the ice maker.

I put dirty dishes in the dishwasher. I put dirty clothes in the washer.

Hubby got up at 4:30AM. I made the bed while he dressed. He put on his shoes. He closed the doors and locked them. Then he put harnesses on the dogs.

We loaded the dogs into the FMF.

Beautiful sunrise as we were driving out of Sun City.

SUNRISE IN SUN CITY

FUEL JUNE 17 2026

Drove to Bunkerville to walk dogs in the soccer park. It was still dark. Nice sunrise pictures. Hubby had to drive with lights on car. At the park, we unloaded dogs and walked around. Not many birds out. We saw a HUGE CRANE on the light pole. It took off and flew to the opposite pole as we walked. Then it flew to the cellphone tower. We saw it had a mate. They sat together.

HUGE CRANE ON LIGHT POLE

We took Riley's yellow ball and a golf ball so we could throw them for her. She got a lot of exercise doing that.

We gave the dogs fresh water and then loaded them into the FMF. I walked down to throw away garbage, wrapper from water bottles, water bottles, and poop bags. Hubby picked me up.

We drove to the Info Center. No homeless or hobos there today. We let the dogs run around without leashes. Even PBJR was really good and walked beside us.

Riley barked at the trees, but no birds would fly out and play with her.

We gave the dogs fresh water and loaded them in the car. We drove home.

We got back home and unloaded dogs. I let the dogs out back for potty. I put more ice in the dog bowls. I refilled clean water again.

I put more dog food in bowls.

Hubby put sausage and egg bites in air fryer for me. I made oatmeal.

I picked up dog poo. I then came inside and made more hot tea for myself.

Hubby warmed up a burrito for himself.

We sat on the sofa and watched TV.

I did bookwork. I paid Overton Power bills. I filed the Nevada Sales Tax today.

Hubby talked on the phone to Plumber Butt who is somewhere back east visiting family.

Hubby left for the shop at 8:30AM in the white Jeep. HE FINALLY REPLACED THE JEEP BATTERY AFTER 2 YEARS OF IT NOT STARTING. OMG. Should have listened to me.

The Jeep started wonderfully and he left.

I went back inside and put laundry in dryer. I cleaned the counter & stove then started the dishwasher.

I ddi more bookwork.

I called the Vet at 9AM. She said they only have 2 Vets on staff as the others are out this week. I made an appointment for 9:30AM.

I closed up the house. Left Riley & Tater at home.

Loaded PBJR in FMF. We drove to the Vet on Virgin Valley Vet on Hardy Way. PBJR was panting as the A/C was not keeping up with the excessive heat already.

I parked under the awnings and got PBJR out. We RAN inside over the hot asphalt.

Then checked in and waited. Weighed the dog. She is at 67.2 pounds now!!!

PBJR saw another dog leaving, but after a few minutes, she calmed down.

The Vet Tech that looks like Russell Crowe came to get us. He said somebody else told him that he looks familiar. We laughed.

They took PBJR's vitals. Then the Vet Dr Shaffer came to see us. I told her that I was concerned that she is NOT losing weight as she gained 1.2 lbs from last time.

PBJR (POTATO) AT THE VET OFFICE

The Vet took her in the back and obtained a urine sample. She said it is inflamed e-coli. A Urinary Tract Infection. She gave me antibiotics to give PBJR. Wants to see her in another week.

We left the office and at the front desk, I paid for the Mesquite City Licenses for the dogs along with the meds and vet visit. PBJR saw a huge orange cat walking thru the office and she wanted to go over to check it out. Also a guy checking out with dog food that had only 1/2 his nose.

As we were walking out of the Vet building, SOMEBODY HAD PARKED RIGHT NEXT TO ME WITH THE WHOLE PARKING LOT AVAILABLE.

SOMEBODY PARKED NEXT TO ME AT THE VET OFFICE

I swear. If we parked on the moon, somebody would park next to us.

We left the office, I gave PBJR some water from the back seat of the car, and drove home.

At home, I backed the FMF into the drive. Put up the window shade, put windows down a little.

Unloaded PBJR and took her inside. Put the water bowl in the back again.

At home, I put the dogs out for potty. Gave PBJR her antibiotic pill in some meat. I warmed up chicken/apple sausage for myself.

I gave myself the Diet shot because Hubby had forgotten to do it again today when I asked.

I was REALLY tired and wanted to take a nap.

I slept for a long time. When I woke up, I felt like I did not know where I was, what my name was, what day it was. Totally OUT OF IT. Awful feeling. Never felt like that even after Anesthesia.

Hubby got home at 4PM.

Hubby got into the hot tub at 6PM, but it was too cold for me. I picked up dog poo outside, watered plants. I think the transplant is dying. It is dry and the leaves are dry. I gave it extra water. A hummingbird came by when I was watering. I changed the hummingbird water. I gave the dogs fresh water.

We watched TV for a while. I found a show called Raise The Titanic. Old actors.

Put dogs out for potty.

Went to bed at 10PM.
