OCTOBER 25
Got up at 6AM. I hurried and made the bed, vacuumed, made lattes.
Hubby started packing things into the Camper. We put everything on the edge of the counter. Hubby FORGOT the dog eggs.
Wanted to get breakfast, but nothing was west of Mesquite. Got off at Love's Fuel Center just outside of Las Vegas, but nothing was open & nothing in the hot case. We drove on.
Stopped at McDonalds at the corner of Nellis Blvd & Las Vegas Blvd where we picked Tater up all those months ago. Got breakfast sandwiches. I waited in the truck with the dogs. Hubby went inside.
We drove thru Las Vegas on Nellis Blvd South, then drove the Interstate 11 Bypass around Boulder City. Nice road. Was not there before...recent road.
Stopped every couple hours for potty or fuel. Walked dogs a lot.
93 South to Kingman, traffic jam at Kingman getting onto I40 then rough road to Ash Fork where we turned South on 93 again. 2-lane traffic until we got to Chino Valley. Lots of round-abouts there!
As we made the turn out of Ash Fork and south to Chino Valley, there was LOTS of smoke from a fire; it reminded both of us of Idaho fires from past years. We hoped that the fire smoke did not reach where we were going--that would be an awful weekend.
By the time we got to Chino Valley, the air had cleared.

Hubby and Pizza at Aroma Pizza
Aroma Pizza
Called ahead and ordered pizza. Walked dogs at a turn-out with a "free" gross sofa at the side of the road.
Stopped for Pizza in Chino Valley. Aroma Pizza. I read online that reviews were great for the pizza. It was only ok.
Drove back north a few blocks to Safeway and got groceries there.
Finally got to Eric's property at 5PM. We positioned the camper by the hook-ups and everybody got around the Campfire by the house. We toured the grounds. Eric's dad has a custom vintage Gas-station themed garage.
Bob & Chris are Eric's parents and this was their property/Eric's property that we parked our Camper. Then Jim & Gina, Eric's brother & sister-in-law came over with their dog, Buck. Eric was there with his daughter, Victoria.
Everybody had food that Jim & Gina had brought over to the house from their wedding 2 weeks before. They had hamburgers, brats, potato salad, chips, dessert was It was very nice.
I went to bed early, about 7PM because I was so tired from the long drive that day. I was very dizzy and nauseated.
SATURDAY
OCTOBER 26
Got up at 6AM, I had made lattes. Thought I warmed up the quiche we had bought from Safeway yesterday and Hubby started to feed it to the dogs, but it was a CUSTARD instead. Stupid labeling. So we gave them some dog ham we had bought instead.
We drove in the SXS to the gas station at the end of the block; it was cold so I dressed warmly. Scarf, gloves, sweater, coat. It got warm VERY quickly.
Gilligan's Spring Valley
Picked up pre-made sausage, egg, and bacon biscuits. Went back to the camper and fed the dogs these instead. Both Hubby and I had biscuits, also before the ride.
Left Bob's house at 10:02AM; then drove in the Bradshaw Mountains until we got back home at 3:31PM. Over 64.9 miles.

Back at Bob's home in late afternoon.
Hubby and I were both COVERED in dust as we took up the rear of the 3 SXSs.
I went into the Camper and immediately took a nice, hot, refreshing shower. I had forgotten shampoo & conditioner but made do with Dawn Dishwashing detergent.
Then I convinced Hubby to come inside and take a shower. The feeling of cleanliness was wonderful. We were clean for bed.
I cleaned up the shower stall and dirty clothes afterwards, then found that the shower pan was full of water. We had to drain the tank as it was full.
Bob talked Hubby into hooking up into water directly. More water pressure.
We sat around the campfire and had food; Chris was going to have shish-kabobs, but instead just put everything she had for it in a stew. I skipped dinner because I was feeling SO nauseated. I kept getting more dizzy every time I walked over to the Camper; to potty Wilson, to get my sweater, to go potty. Walked Wilson everywhere on a leash. Tater ran loose because he had Jim & Gina's dog - Buck to play along with Buddy & Beau which were Bob and Chris' little poodle dogs.

I was very tired and went to bed early at 7:30PM after it got dark. Dogs came with me.
Hubby got to Camper for bed at 10PM. He had drank lots of beers. He took the dogs for a brief potty walk before coming to bed.
SUNDAY
OCTOBER 27
VERY bad night sleeping. Waking up every 30 minutes and had backache. Hubby snored. Tater pushed on me all night long. It was not cold, but the bed was very uncomfortable. Popped out my back and hip. I refuse to sleep on that mattress until we get a new one.
Up at 5:30AM to get the lattes started. Turned on the heat to take off a slight chill. I warmed up leftover hamburger sandwiches from yesterday at the Saloon for the dogs along with a leftover breakfast sandwich that we had purchased yesterday.
Got the trailers hooked up and the SXS loaded on the trailers. Everybody watched Hubby hook up his stuff and Eric had to do his all by himself. Hubby then went over and helped Eric. Then we left about 9AM. Jim & Gina followed us in their Mercedes to the Flea Market in Prescott Valley- -Peddlers Pass Old Time Farmer's Flea Market. There were not a lot of tables there, but we walked them all with the dogs. Both dogs pooped & peed again. They also had lots of petting from everybody there. We kept running into a little kid and his mother that adored Tater.
Hubby purchased a drop-hitch for his truck for only $15.
We left about 9:30AM.
Drove to Chino Valley Maverik behind Eric and got Diesel Fuel. Since we had already walked dogs and they had pooped/peed, we left them in the truck. I used the camper for potty. Hubby had to potty inside the Maverik station. He got a Starbucks for me and candy for the trip.
We drove out to Hwy 93 and re-traced our way back on the highway. LOTS of HIGH WINDS about 40MPH on the Interstate 40. Then Eric had suggested we go back via Laughlin to see the Casinos on the river.
Eric drove his own way home. We told him not to wait for us.
It was very pretty. Nice route, but LOTS of wind.
Weird Rock Near Golden Valley, AZ
In Laughlin, we saw the Casinos on the river, then walked the dogs by the river at a park; picked up granitas at the Human Bean (they were not very good) and stopped at Long John Silver's for lunch. Which was absolutely DELICIOUS. I miss their fish and hush puppies.

We purchased a lottery ticket before we left Arizona.
Drove back via Highway 95 to Highway 11 to Interstate 515 bypass, then Interstate 15 and on into Mesquite.
We arrived back home at 5PM.
We unloaded the basics.
I took a hot bath. Let the dogs outside for potty. Cleaned up kitty litter.
Did a load of laundry.
Went to bed at 8PM. Hubby got to bed at 10PM.
