JANUARY 7
Got up at 7AM, checked out of Virgin Valley hotel room.
Leaving the Virgin River Hotel
Ate breakfast at the Virgin River cafe again. Played Keno & lost again. Both of us got the Deuces breakfast special.
Drove around to see the area. Trying to find a shop for hubby to store vehicles & do work.
Got a tape measure at Ace Hardware. I purchased hand cream. Hubby was inside FOREVER trying to have the clerk ring him up. She was quite confused about how to run the cash register.
Drove to Sun City Del Webb to measure the inside of the home.
Hubby drove around for a while trying to find buildings to rent. He found some guys that were working on a dune buggy and talked to them.
Then we drove over on Riverside to talk with the owner of the building over there. He was talking to him for over an hour.
KR called while I was waiting for hubby. She was at our house, cleaning up and feeding kitties. Kitties had torn open all the cabinet doors, torn the paper towels down and made a mess, and broken a plate.
The house smelled of propane, so hubby had her turn off the propane knob under the fireplace.
KR cleaned up all the kitty litter, but forgot the bag in the laundryroom. She also did not pick up the mail, but did pick up a UPS box that was delivered.
We left Mesquite and drove to Vegas.
Stopped at Red Rock Harley to get hubby a t-shirt & picked up another poker chip for KR.
Harley Davidson
Drove to the Hoover Dam looking for a room. Looked at all the changes at Boulder City. It was getting dark, raining, and late. Tried to find a hotel. Too expensive at some of the places and they wanted to charge a "resort fee".
We stayed at Wyndham Hotel in Henderson, Nevada. It was a long ways out of Vegas. Tried to go up to 3rd floor room after hubby dropped me off, but there was a yappy dog across the hallway and I did not even open the door. Went down to reception and asked for another room.
Changed to first floor. It was pretty quiet.
We did our laundry and then went out to Famous Dave's to eat. Hubby was quite excited to have me eat there. It was ok. Not great. Cornbread was pretty good.
