THURSDAY / AUGUST 31 / TATER TO SHOP /DUALLY A/C DOES NOT WORK

THURSDAY

8-31-2023 

Hubby was up at 4AM with the dogs. He sat outside with them. I had to get up to let Wilson outside as he was whining.

Then I went back to bed. Slept until Hubby got into bed at 6AM?

We both slept until 7:30AM. 

Got up and dressed. I made the bed. Hubby fed the dogs and put out milk/cheese for cats. 

I put laundry in washer. Hubby got dressed & put his clothes in washer and started it. 

Hubby cleaned cat litter. He put Tater's clean collar on him and they left in the Dually (THAT DOES NOT HAVE A/C) at 8:30AM. Said he had to pick up somebody this morning.

I did bookwork. I put away clean clothes. I cleaned kitchen and put dishes in dishwasher then started it.

I watched TV for a while.

I picked up dog poo outside.

WEDNESDAY / TATER HOME / IV INFUSIONS / FLOWERS FOR GAUGE

WEDNESDAY

8-30-2023 

Dogs barked in the middle of the night, waking us up.

Then I heard Wilson & Tater get up really early this morning. Hubby sat on the patio with them.

I was up at 6:45AM.I got dresssed and went to the kitchen to make lattes.

Hubby was sitting on the sofa. He said he was trying to get some sleep.

 

I transferred $ from Quickbooks to Bank.

 

Hubby answered several phone calls for the shop this morning.

 

Then Hubby left at 8:45AM.  

 

I watched TV and ate my berry danish.

 

Then I did some bookwork.

 

I watched TV. Made lunch for the dogs at NOON.

 

I scanned some more paperwork.  

Hubby got home at 2:45PM. He filled his water bottle with lemonade and ice tea. Then we had to take the Jeep because Hubby's truck had lost its A/C. 

I crawled into the Jeep with Hubby's help.

We left the dogs at home. Drove to Enliven IV Infusion. Rod was there getting an infusion.

We got our infusions and Toradol. My pain decreased by 100% instantly. My vitals were 128/82.

Hubby paid. Jamie gave me my shot. 

We left and drove to Scenic to get lottery tickets. Then we came back and shopped at Smith's to get groceries. Pasta, Strawberries, Milk. We gave candy to Jessica, the cashier and Jo, the bagger. They thanked us.

We drove home the back way. 

At home, FedEx had delivered tires to the front door from Raceline Wheels.

 

Hubby unloaded the groceries, I put them away. 

 

Hubby loaded the tires into the Dually. Then he parked the Dually in the driveway.

 

We watched CSI Miami for the rest of the night. Hubby warmed up the pasta for our dinner, I did not want to eat much.

 

We ordered Sympathy flowers for Chad, Ami, & Tessa delivered tomorrow by Hansen's Floral.

 

We went to bed at 11:30PM.

 

 

 

 

TUESDAY / AUGUST 29 / HOUSE CLEANING / TIRED /ANNIVERSARY

8-29-2023 

Up at 6:30AM.

Both Hubby and I forgot our Wedding Anniversary. We are TOO OLD.

I made lattes in the kitchen. Hubby made breakfast for the dogs. We sat down to watch morning news.

I transferred $ from Quickbooks to Bank.

Hubby cleaned cat litter. I vacuumed the armoire. 

Tater & Hubby left at 8:45AM this morning. 

 

I cleared all the stuff from the house so the cleaners can clean everything. 

 

I did bookwork.

 

I tried called Gregory's to reserve a table for dinner, but nobody answered the phone for 30 minutes. I hung up.

 

I called the Pioneer Center to reserve a spot for the Fall Craft Fair.

House cleaners came at Noon. They were surprised to see my eye. I explained the accident. Wilson & I stayed home and sat on the patio while they cleaned. They left at 1PM. I gave Felicia a white pumpkin because her daughter wanted one.

Then I went back to doing bookwork. My eye was hurting quite badly and it was difficult to think.

Hubby got home about 4PM with Tater. 

Tater slept on the sofa for quite a while.

Hubby threw together some dinner. I had a King's Hawaiian bun. I was not very hungry.

Then I took a gummy & 2 Tylenol for pain. 

I took a hot bath at 10:30PM. Watched one episode more of Hogan's Heroes.

Hubby gave Tater a bath in the shower and I helped dry him. Then I went to bed. I had really hurt myself again after getting out of the bath. Ribs were hurting intensely. 

Fell asleep as Hubby got into bed with Tater.

I napped while the Construction guy came to install the patio wall. He was banging and pounding for about 3 hours. He made quite a solid wall. Told Hubby that they would be back Wednesday?

At 2:45PM, Hubby took me to GS Nails in the Dually. Left the dogs at home. I got my nails done while Hubby went to Smith's to get milk.

We drove home afterwards. I was still hurting and too weak to do anything.

Up at 5AM. Wilson was crowding me out, so I got up and took my pillow to the sofa. 

 

I slept there on the sofa until I heard Hubby & the dogs getting up. They sat on the patio for quite a while.

 

Wilson is not allowed to eat/drink so he was sad not to get his breakfast. We had to put up all the food & water in the house. 

 

Tater & Wilson were both in a very good mood this morning. They played and ran after each other. Tater was running butt down. Doing the play-bow. Wilson was hiding behind the sofa in a game of hide-n-seek. It was adorable.

 

 

 

We made the bed. I went to the kitchen to make lattes.  

I transferred $ from Quickbooks to Bank. I paid Payroll.

 

We took Wilson to the Vet in the Dually at 7::45AM and Hubby walked him inside. 

We drove back home the back way with Tater. At home, Hubby gave Tater his breakfast. 

As we got out of the truck at home, we got a phone call from Home Depot Delivery. They would be here in 20-40 minutes to deliver the new Dishwasher.

At 8:30AM, the guys came that are working on the wall for the side patio.

 

The Delivery Drivers from Vegas arrived at 9AM to drop off the new Bosch Dishwasher in the garage. I had to check it out and make sure it was not damaged.

 

I went to do books. 

The wall builder guy left at 9:30AM and returned at 10:15AM. It was odd.

The Vet texted me that Wilson would be ready to pick up at 4PM. I called Hubby and he said he would be home by that time.

 

Hubby got home at 3:45PM. We then drove over to the Vet in the Dually to pick up Wilson. 

I went inside to get the dog while Hubby & Tater waited in the truck. It took forever. I had to wait for the receptionist to get people in rooms, help other customers. Then two women were talking to a couple adopting a dog-they took forever at the other side of the counter. I waited about 20 minutes. I finally paid, got a receipt, instructions for after-care, and antibiotics for Wilson to take.

They brought Wilson out the side door and then I picked him up to carry him out. He was quite drowsy and loopy.

We drove home. Wilson slept on the sofa for quite a while.

Up at 6:30AM. I could barely get out of bed. I got dressed. Then I went to open the front door. 

I went to the kitchen to make lattes. Had to vacuum up all the cat litter on the floor. 

Hubby made breakfast egg for Tater & gave Wilson his diet breakfast. 

I picked up dog poo outside.

TUESDAY / RAIN / AUGUST 22 / rRAIN & PAIN /

It rained outside very early this morning. So everything was wet. 

 

Sage was walking on me and purring. I had to bat her off me several times as she was walking on my ribs & sore right arm.  

Hubby had already been up for several hours and let dogs outside. Fed dogs. Fed cats. Put the garbage can out.

I woke up when I heard the garbage truck go past our house.

 

 

BRUISING TUESDAY

 

 

Hubby already had the front door open. I like the fresh air.

I got dressed and went to the kitchen to make lattes. 

Then I picked up dog poo and changed the garbage bag in the pantry. It stank.

Hubby was doing bookwork and did not leave until 10AM for the shop. I put Tater's collar on him and they both left in the Dually.

I remembered to transfer money from Quickbooks to Bank after Hubby left. I had to call him to get his secret code #.

Then I went to watch TV as I was still in a lot of pain.

MONDAY / AUGUST 21 / RAIN / PAIN

Up at 6AM. Hubby took the dogs out on the patio.  

 

RAIN CLOUDS & STORM THIS MORNING

 

Hubby made the bed. Hubby fed the dogs. Hubby fed the cats. 

I am in so much pain with my ribs & shoulder. Cannot use my right arm. 

Hubby helped me put a shirt on and dress. 

I put out clean water for the dogs & cats. I made lattes. 

Then Hubby watched morning news until he and Tater left for the shop at 8:30AM. 

I sat around the house all day, watching TV. In pain. Kept taking Tylenol and Aspirin.

My eye is a little better. I can see out of my right eye now. The swelling is going down.

 

 

SWELLING IS GOING DOWN

 

The clouds disappeared and the sun came out in the afternoon. It got quite warm. I shut the front door and turned on the A/C.

 

Hubby got home at 4PM with Tater and left him here. Then Hubby went to Smith's to get milk and groceries. 

We watched TV until 10PM bedtime. Hubby helped me get into bed. Then he came to bed at 11PM.

SUNDAY / AUGUST 20 / RAIN / STARBUCKS / TRACTOR SUPPLY

AUGUST 20 2023 

 

 

 I was awake at midnight. Hubby was snoring. I was hot & sweaty. I went out to the sofa to sleep.

Then at 2AM, I woke up with cramps. Had to wake Hubby up to help me in & out of the bath. 

Back to the sofa. Hubby back to bed.

Slept until 6AM when Hubby got up and put the dogs outside. He sat on the patio until 6:30AM. 

 

It was raining consistently but not hard all morning.

I got up and made lattes. Folded all the blankets. Made the bed. 

BRUISING SUNDAY

Hubby came inside and made breakfast for the boys. The Doggy Day Care did not feed Tater his morning egg breakfast. They just gave him dog food. Awful day care treatment!

So Tater was really happy to have his breakfast. 

I copies receipts from the trip. Hubby sat with me in the office. 

Then we left the dogs at home. Drove the Dually to Starbucks - got an Impossible Breakfast Sandwich for me. Hubby had no change to leave a tip.

We drove to Tractor Supply to pick up dog food & cat litter. Guy at checkout asked us if we wanted to get a generator for 'THE BIG STORM'. Hmmm. No real rain here yet. We only lose power in windy conditions.

Drove home. No water in the overflow area. Just a trickle.

 

Hubby made breakfast for himself. He cut up his cantaloupe that had been out for the past 2 weeks.

 

I worked on my blog. 

We sat home most of the day, watching TV.

I took a very long nap in the afternoon. I was very uncomfortable on the sofa. 

When I woke up, Hubby was having dinner. He had made some stuff.

We watched TV until bedtime at 9PM. I took 3 gummies to be able to sleep.

I did finally get my contact out of my eye before bed!!!

 Hubby was up at 4:30AM with the dogs. Wilson whined and I let him out at 5AM. Hubby sat on the patio with his ipad. Tater started barking at 5AM. I got up to yell at the dog and bring him inside. Hubby would not reprimand him.

I went back to bed and slept for a few minutes. A great nightmare of death and destruction. Yuck.

Then up at 6AM and dressed. Made lattes & Nanogreens in kitchen. 

Hubby had me process the payent for the Desert tire recovery from last night. It fortunately went thru. He was scared it would be declined.

We got packed and ready for the trip. Dark storm clouds in the sky this morning.

 

I picked up dog poo in the yard. 

 

We left at 8:30PM. Stopped at Starbucks. Drove on the Interstate and it was not backed up per WYZE app.  

Dropped dogs off at Dogtown Doggy Day Care. They were so excited. Tater barked a lot.

Drove to UPS up on Bluff Boulevard. Then drove back to the Interstate and got Beans & Brews iced lattes. Hubby said LARGE and they were 32oz. He would not believe me. It changed the flavor.

Drove the Interstate to Cedar City and got gas at Smith's. Lots of cars. Then Hubby had to pee REALLY BADLY and drove next door to Subway. He bought a sub and went potty.

 

We were really hungry and stopped at IDK BBQ. It was wonderful! I had the Emily special - pulled chicken with coleslaw.  Hubby had the Sloppy Joe style pulled brisket with bbq beans and coleslaw on the Asiago bun.

We got back on the road and drove to Tropic, UT. We were early for check-in. So we parked in front of the LDS Church and rode around. Saw some deer eating in a giant orchard. Saw lots of dogs, lots of horses, lots of kitties sitting on front porches. Saw a 1997 Eddie Bauer Bronco and a 1997 F350 Dually 4x4. Hubby wants to go back and check on. We drove thru the Stone Canyon.

Back to the truck at 3PM. Then we loaded bikes and drove to Stone Canyon to check in. Tanya said her mother made fresh baked goods and we could find cinnamon rolls at the coffee stand in town when they opened at 7AM.

We checked into our Bungalow - Primrose. It was very clean and nice for $250/night. Much cheaper than stupid hotels that are awful.

Unloaded all our stuff. Watched TV. Hubby watched YouTube Shorts. Opened all the windows for the pine & mesquite tree scened fresh air. Then it got cold so we started the fireplace. 

 

Immediately, Hubby locked us out of the bungalow and it was fortunate that we had opened all the windows. We took the screen out and I had to crawl thru the window to open the door.

People (family) came in electric and parked right next to our Bungalow. Lots of kid noises screeching. 

We left at 6:50PM and walked down to the Lodge for 7PM dinner reservation. Had a really nice dinner. Steaks were AMAZING. Tender, juicy, cut with a knife. Potatoes were very well flavored. We skipped dessert. 

 

Walked back to the Bungalow.

Got back and 2 yappy dogs were in the bungalow next to us all by themselves. It went on for an hour. Tried to call front desk, but they closed at 8PM. I called the Restaurant and they gave me a phone number, Hubby called and the woman said she would send her nephew and nobody ever turned up. 

 

Idiot neighbors finally came back. Dogs quit barking.

 

We watched TV. I went to bed at 10PM. Hubby went to bed at 11PM.
